Key Facts:
The French-Language Post-Secondary Studies Scholarship supports PEI graduates of French-language or French immersion programs who pursue post-secondary education in French at an institution outside PEI. Awards are $1,500/year for collegiate studies (up to 2 years) and $2,000/year for university studies (up to $8,000 total). It is administered in collaboration with the Société acadienne et francophone de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard (SAF’Île).
The PEI French-Language Post-Secondary Studies Scholarship helps remove the financial burden for Island students who wish to study in French but must leave the province to do so. Because many French-language post-secondary programs are not available in PEI, eligible students who studied in French at the secondary level are supported in accessing out-of-province French-language education. The scholarship is a partnership between the Government of PEI and the Société acadienne et francophone de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard (SAF’Île).

- Wish to pursue post-secondary education through a French-language program not currently offered in PEI — the scholarship is specifically for students who must study outside the province.
- Be enrolled full-time at an eligible post-secondary institution outside PEI where your program is delivered in French.
