Helping Canadians get back to work.

Visual Arts Foundation

Building a dream career in any creative field requires a solid educational foundation to build upon. During the Visual Arts Foundation program, students are taught key skills and techniques that will lay that foundation into further studies.

A prerequisite to other McKenzie College diploma programs, this eight-month certificate program is for aspiring artists and designers who wish to advance their artistic skills and build an extensive fine art portfolio.

Our creative studio environment allows students to learn critical thinking and time management skills through a series of hands-on projects. They will also have the opportunity to explore various media and art styles while developing new techniques and approaches to their work.

Upon successful completion, students are highly recommended to further their studies at McKenzie College. Further studies increase opportunities to a career in areas of fine arts, game and animation, marketing and advertising, and design.
