Our Practical Nursing program has been approved by the Registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Government of British Columbia, as well as by the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
The program is based on the Provincial Practical Nursing Curriculum (PNPPC). The curriculum provides a learning experience that is integrated, professional, collaborative, and culturally sensitive with an aim to prepare graduates to care for individuals in a variety of practice settings.
The program provides students with theoretical knowledge plus clinical practice experience for all areas of nursing practice. Our fully equipped laboratory includes state-of-the-art simulation mannequins. Our experienced instructors train students to become confident in their ability to enter the health care industry with the knowledge, skills, judgement and attitude essential to meet the entry-to-practice competencies for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). Graduates of the program achieve the Entry to Practice Competencies for Licensed Practical Nurses and meet BCCNP Standards of Practice. Upon successful completion of the program, learners will possess the competencies to successfully complete the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Exam (CPNRE).
