Pharmacy Assistants work alongside pharmacists to provide customer service, medication and other health care products to clients. Duties can also include maintaining prescription records, maintaining inventory for medication and pharmaceutical products. In some cases individuals in this role may be responsible for compounding, packaging and labeling of pharmaceutical products.
This program provides an overview of the theory, principles, and practices of the Pharmacy Assistant. Areas of study include healthcare ethics, aseptic techniques, controlling inventory, and providing medication and other health care products.
