Personal Trainer

Admission Requirements

To qualify for the Personal Trainer diploma program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent with prior education in English at grade 10 level or higher, OR Mature Student Status with passing entrance evaluation (English comprehension and math skills)
  • Demonstrate English proficiency through education requirements or language assessment (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent)
  • Access to a three-month membership at a gym or fitness center (required for practical training)
  • Achieve a minimum 75% program average to obtain diploma

Program Highlights

This diploma program is designed to prepare you for an exciting career in fitness training, exposing you to the range of knowledge and skills required in this dynamic and evolving industry. The program prepares you for the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certification exam, one of the most respected credentials in the fitness industry. All materials are included in your tuition fees, and financial assistance may be available to qualified students.

  • Body sciences and nutrition including anatomy, physiology, and nutrition fundamentals
  • Fitness program design with client intake, assessment, and programming essentials
  • Business and sales skills for managing a personal training business and client acquisition
  • Professional competencies including customer service, communication, and behavior management

Note: Graduates who choose to write the NASM certification exam will pay an additional fee to NASM.
