Personal Support Worker (Full Time/Part Time)

Personal Support Workers (PSW) are integral members of the healthcare system who assist people with home management, recreational activities, family responsibility, and personal care following a holistic approach. Being a personal support worker, you will be primarily working with nurses and healthcare specialists. The program aims at preparing students with a broad spectrum of knowledge and skills required to assist clients, patients, and residents with varied healthcare needs.

  • Help individuals with medication under the service plan
  • Assist with house management tasks and other activities considering the individual or family comfort and safety
  • Use recognized approaches and best practices to support safe responses and effective strategies for people going through psychological challenges and cognitive impairment
