Medical Office Administrators play a critical role in healthcare delivery along with some basic clinical procedures. In this program, students will learn to take medical histories, prepare patients for examinations and explain treatment procedures. Emphasis is placed on medical terminology, medical transcription, body systems and office and clerical data entry. ✔️ Schedule and confirm medical appointments and receive and communicate messages from doctors and patients

✔️ Type medical records, reports, articles, case histories and correspondence from handwritten notes, shorthand and machine dictation

✔️ Interview patients to complete forms, documents and case histories

✔️ Complete insurance and other claim forms

✔️ Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records

✔️ Prepare financial statements and handle billing procedures

✔️ The Medical Office Assistant (MOA) diploma program will teach Medical Office skills such as keyboarding skills and how to work in office environments

✔️ Students also get familiar with many administrative tasks in the field of medicine, along with some basic clinical procedures.

✔️ In this program, students will learn how to get medical history, explain treatment procedures and prepare patients for examinations.
