MEDICAL OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Graduates of the Medical Office Administrator are fully trained professionals with core administrative skills required to be part of a health care team.
The Office Administrator will not only teach students specialized skills required to be part of a health care team but also core administrative skills that are transferable across all industries.
Specific topics covered in this program will be:
 Medical terminology
 Medical transcription
 Medical office procedures
 The fundamentals of the Electronic Health Record
 Computerized OHIP billing
 Diagnostic and lab procedures

 

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

 
 
 

1. Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or Equivalent
2. Mature students status - 18 years of age or older and pass a pre-entry evaluation

Note - All foreign credentials must be translated into English and compared for Grade 12 equivalency by a recognized organization (i.e. WES)
