Helping Canadians get back to work.

Education Assistant

The Education Assistant program is specifically designed to train individuals to support children and youth who require additional assistance, work alongside teachers in various educational settings, and provide help to children and youth in community environments. This comprehensive program combines theoretical learning with practical application, using case studies and specialized training to prepare students thoroughly.

Program Structure:

  • Theory and Practice: Students gain foundational knowledge in special education, learning various techniques and methods to support children and youth effectively.
  • Case Studies: These are used to illustrate real-life scenarios, helping students apply theoretical concepts to practical situations.
  • Specialized Training: The program includes training in specific areas such as behavioral support, learning disabilities, and developmental challenges to ensure students are well-equipped to handle diverse needs.
  • Work Experience Practice: Hands-on experience is a critical component of the program, enabling students to work directly in educational settings under supervision, gaining the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the field.

Upon completion of the program, graduates are fully prepared to enter the field of special education, equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to make a positive impact on the lives of children and youth requiring special education services.
