About The Program

The Early Childhood Education (ECE) Hybrid Diploma prepares you to become a qualified Early Childhood Educator, equipping you with the knowledge and hands-on skills to support young children's development, create engaging learning environments, and build meaningful relationships with children and families.

This 55-week flexible program is designed for working professionals who want to change careers without giving up their day job. Study evenings and weekends while gaining 1,070 hours of in-person or online synchronous academic theory plus 535 hours of in-person practicum placements.

The program combines self-paced online learning blended with engaging evening lectures (in-person or online) from expert ECE professionals who bring years of real-world childcare experience into the classroom. Note that 100% online is only available for domestic students. Graduate as a qualified Level 2 Early Childhood Educator ready to work in licensed daycare facilities, preschools, pre-primary programs, and family child care settings across Nova Scotia.

Program Details

Flexible Schedule for Working Adults

Mondays: 6 hours self-paced online learning
Tuesday-Friday: Live evening classes 6:00pm-9:30pm AST (in-person or online)
Field work: Lab schools, practicums, certifications
