COMPUTER / MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT

This program is designed to develop essential skills for both computer applications as well as medical office administration. The program focuses on the development of interpersonal skills, organizational effectiveness and communication skills necessary to function within an organization.

Specific topics covered in this program:
 Medical terminology
 Medical transcription
 Medical office procedures
 Computerized OHIP billing
 Computer fundamentals

 

 

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

 
 
 

1. Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or Equivalent
2. Mature students status - 18 years of age or older and pass a pre-entry evaluation

Note - All foreign credentials must be translated into English and compared for Grade 12 equivalency by a recognized organization (i.e. WES)
