Bridging for Internationally Educated Nurses (BPIEN)
The Bridging Program for Internationally Educated Nurses program will give Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) the opportunity to integrate their learning concepts and experiences into the Canadian healthcare environment, potentially leading to employment anywhere in Canada.
This hands-on approach will review and equip students with current evidence-based nursing knowledge and clinical skills pertinent to the Canadian Healthcare context. Students will have access to clinical practice opportunities through a variety of co-op placements within healthcare and community sectors. This program will prepare IENs to challenge the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) to become an RN or the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Exam (CPNRE) to become LPN in Canada.
