The Legal Techniques - JCA.1F program at CDI College aims to train qualified professionals* capable of occupying, at the entry level of the job market, the position of legal technician. Upon successful completion of the program, these professionals will possess expertise in the fields of civil law, criminal law, and administrative law, enabling them to perform the tasks of a legal technician specific to each environment. They will also have acquired the transversal skills required for the profession.
They will notably be able to communicate clearly using legal terminology. They will have developed their capacity for analysis and synthesis, as well as a sense of professional ethics. They will demonstrate rigor and meticulousness in the execution of their tasks. Finally, they will be able to manage their time effectively, sometimes according to atypical schedules.
Legal technicians who have completed this training will be able to work in various legal environments, both in private practice (in a law firm or notary's office) and in the public service as legal researchers and court clerks in ministries, municipalities, and courthouses. Some may prefer stenography and can pursue further training to become court stenographers.
