Program Description

This personal support worker training program is designed for participants interested in a career in the healthcare field in Toronto. Homecare Helper, Nursing Assistant, Healthcare Aid, and Home Support Helper At the end of the program, participants will have the skills and abilities to pursue entry-level positions in such areas as: Long term Care Facility, Extended Care Facilities, Retirement homes, Home Daycare, and Private Contracts.

Admission Requirements

Standard Admission

• Students must meet ALL of the following criteria
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completed current immunization report (could take up to 6 months if not immunized within last 10 years)
  • Criminal Record Check (3 days – 4 weeks, approx cost $20 – $65)
  • Must pass Standard Entrance Examination.

Mature Admission

• Students must meet ALL of the following criteria
  • Provide completed current immunization report
  • Criminal Record Check (3 days – 4 weeks, approx cost $20 – $65)
  • Be at least 18 years of age and pass a Superintendent approved qualifying test
  • Must pass Standard Entrance Examination.
