Program Details

As technology continues to reshape the healthcare industry, there's a growing need for health information management professionals who can manage electronic health records (EHRs), code patient data, and ensure accuracy in healthcare documentation. If you're detail-oriented and want to contribute to healthcare quality, the Eastern College Health Information Management program equips you with the specialized skills needed to succeed in this vital field.

Through this 73-week program, you'll develop core competencies in medical terminology, clinical coding, privacy and confidentiality laws, healthcare statistics and epidemiology, and health data management and analytics. To build practical, hands-on skills, you'll use EHRGo simulation software to engage with interactive, case-based learning in a virtual healthcare setting. You'll also train on WinRecs (Med2020) software for coding and abstracting, mirroring tools used in real-world Health Information departments.
