About the Program

The Esthetician diploma program prepares you for rewarding careers helping people feel confident, relaxed, and empowered through professional spa services in under a year. Modern College's accelerated program gets you career-ready faster with hands-on experience with real clients in our in-house spa—with the clinic floor open 5 days a week compared to many community colleges only open 1 of 5 days.

What You'll Learn

  • Skin care and facial treatments - Facial analysis, facials without machines, facials with machines, specialized Guinot facials, skincare techniques, professional image, and client consultation building confidence and expertise
  • Body treatments and nail services - Body care including waxing and body treatments, Swedish relaxation full body massage, hot stone massage, nail care including manicures, pedicures, and artificial nails
  • Makeup artistry and specialized services - Daytime makeup, evening makeup, bridal makeup, lash and brow tinting, introduction to aromatherapy, retail skills, and marketing for spa professionals
  • Three-phase training and real client experience - Phase 1: theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice, Phase 2: clinic training witnessing spa operations, Phase 3: immersed spa atmosphere with advanced classes at North Bay, Sudbury, or Barrie campuses

Roles: Esthetician, Spa Technician, Medical Esthetician, Makeup Artist, Skincare Specialist, Platform Artist/Educator in spas, salons, wellness centers, medical spas, or as independent business owners earning $35,000-$54,000
