About the Program

The Early Childhood Education diploma at triOS College prepares you for registration as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in just 60 weeks. Approved by the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) at the Mississauga and Toronto campuses, the program combines classroom learning with 525 hours of supervised field practicums—so you graduate with both the credential and the real-world experience. Morning classes run in Mississauga and evening classes in Toronto, letting you train around your life.

What You'll Learn

Child development from birth to age twelve across all four domains—physical, cognitive, emotional, and social
Developmentally appropriate curriculum planning in language, math, science, music, and movement, using play-based and emergent approaches
Positive guidance strategies, health, safety, and nutrition, inclusive education for children with exceptionalities, and Indigenous history and culture
Career readiness through three supervised placements with weekly seminars, plus résumé, LinkedIn, and interview preparation

Career Opportunities

Roles: Registered Early Childhood Educator, Daycare Supervisor, Early Years Facilitator, Educational Assistant, and Before and After School Program Leader, earning $18–$29 per hour (Job Bank Canada, 2024)
