DENTAL RECEPTIONIST

A certificate as a Dental Receptionist prepares students for a career working as a front desk receptionist in a dental clinic. Students receive training in dental office proceduresdental terminologydental anatomy and physiology. Students learn how to use dental software for entering patients, scheduling appointments, uploading x-rays, billing insurance companies, and more. Students learn how to cope with dental emergencies and how to deal with special needs and medically compromised patients. Students do not receive computer training, so it is required that they already have computer fundamentals, as well as skills in Microsoft Word, and familiarity with a spreadsheet or database software, like Excel and/or Access.
