Dental Chairside Assisting With Radiography

The Dental Office Administration – Radiography Specialization diploma program at CDI College is designed to provide you with the hands-on training to excel as a radiography specialist in a dental practice.

In the program, you'll gain a solid understanding for taking and processing intra-oral and extra-oral radiographs, dental terminology, billing procedures, appointment management, insurance company protocols, and telephone and communication skills.

You will also receive vital, job-ready training on industry-standard dental software applications and the Microsoft Office suite of programs, as well as learning how to handle patients' charts in a clinical setting, and managing patient records.

Also, you'll receive your First Aid Level 1, CPR-C and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information (WHMIS) certifications in addition to your Dental Office Administration - Radiography Specialization diploma.

Admission Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent*, or mature student status**.
  • Immunization report (form provided by college).
  • Criminal record check (in accordance with the Criminal Records Review Act).

*From an English-language teaching institution.
**19 years of age upon starting classes, and pass the college's admissions test.

This program has been approved by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training.
