Construction and Maintenance Electricians in this unit group, layout, assemble, install, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and related equipment in buildings and other structures. Individuals in this role may be responsible for reading and interpreting drawings, splicing, joining and connecting wires to fixtures and components to form circuits, and troubleshooting and isolating faults in electrical and electronic systems and removing and replacing faulty components.
Students who complete our structured Construction Maintenance Electrician Pre-Apprenticeship (Estimation Track) course will receive theory instruction together with the hands-on training methodology taught by highly trained instructors. Areas of study include; electrical safety, electrical installation methods, electrical code and blueprint reading.
