CDL-B Truck Driver Training

About the Program

NTI's CDL-B Truck Driver Training program licenses you to operate commercial vehicles like dump trucks and box trucks in just 80 hours—half the training time of a Class A program—with new classes starting every 3 weeks. You'll learn by doing, training with industry pros at NTI's driver yards in Scarborough and Bangor, Maine's top CDL school for over 25 years. The program meets all federal Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements and prepares you for licensure through the State of Maine.

What You'll Learn

Behind-the-wheel fundamentals—pre-trip inspections, straight backing, alley docking, parallel parking, and city, highway, and country driving
Working industry knowledge, including truck engines and transmissions, FMCSA safety rules, logbooks, and trip planning
Flexible schedules built to work around your current job, plus optional endorsements to expand the vehicles you can operate
1-on-1 job placement help after graduation—applications, resume and cover letter prep, interview coaching, and direct employer connections
