BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE

Students first learn Database Fundamentals which builds an understanding of Core Database ConceptsCreating Database ObjectsManipulating DataData Storage, and Administering a Database. Next, students learn to analyze and visualize data using two Microsoft solutions, which are Power BI, and in Excel. The course goes beyond the capabilities of tables and charts and uses Pivot Charts, the Excel Data Model, and Power BI. This earns them the MCSA certification in BI Reporting.

PRE-REQUISITES:

Some exposure to basic programming constructs (such as looping and branching). An awareness of key business priorities such as revenue, profitability, and financial accounting is desirable. Extensive knowledge of Excel spreadsheets including formulas, charts, filtering, sorting, and sub-totals. Basic knowledge of data analytics.
