Admission Requirements

To qualify for the Administrative Support certificate program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent or Mature Student Status
  • Good command of the English language and ability to follow instructions
  • Complete an admissions interview to assess interest, motivation, and entry-level skills
  • Full-time students must attend required hours per week as per the course schedule at times convenient to them

This 18-week certificate program prepares you to join the workforce at an entry level with a good general knowledge of popular software programs. The program offers flexible scheduling so you can attend at times convenient to you, and all materials are included in your tuition fees. You'll graduate with a sense of achievement, ensuring the beginning of a successful career. Financial assistance may be available to qualified students.

What you'll learn:

  • Microsoft Office skills including Word (intermediate), Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Foundational computer skills with Windows operating system, PC fundamentals, and Internet
  • Keyboarding proficiency with minimum 10 words per minute
  • Job readiness training through "Thought Patterns for a Successful Career"
