About the Program

Vancouver Career College's Acupuncture Diploma prepares you to assess clients and deliver acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatments that relieve pain and support long-term wellness. This 96-week full-time program runs in person at the Burnaby campus and combines TCM theory, Western anatomy, and supervised clinical practice. You'll graduate eligible to write the Pan-Canadian (PAN-CAN) examinations for acupuncturist registration with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC).

What You'll Learn

Master TCM foundations — Yin Yang, Qi, Zangfu organ theory, the four diagnostic methods, and pattern differentiation — so you can build accurate treatment plans.
Gain hands-on skills in needling, moxibustion, cupping, Gua Sha, Tuina, and electro-acupuncture, along with clean needle technique and infection control.
Learn anatomy, physiology, biomedical science, and patient counselling so you can communicate confidently with clients and other healthcare providers.
Complete 420+ hours of supervised clinical practice treating real clients in the on-site student clinic, plus practice-management training for private practice.

Roles: Registered Acupuncturist, Clinic Acupuncturist, and Wellness Practitioner in TCM clinics, wellness centres, and alternative therapy centres earning $45,000–$80,000
