A Diploma in Accounting

By completing the Accounting and Payroll Administrator program, you’ll gain computer and office administration skills and a practical foundation in accounting, computerized accounting systems, and payroll. Accounting courses will prepare you to enter the workforce by teaching you how to do journal entries, how to read financial statements, and how to adjust accounts. Bookkeeping courses will teach you the fundamental principles of reporting business activities.

Upon graduation, you will also have on-the-job experience through a practicum placement, which will take you beyond introductory principles as you’ll have the opportunity to practice your skills using industry-standard accounting software applications.

Accounting Certification

Through CDI College’s Accounting and Payroll Administrator diploma, you’ll also gain a competitive edge by fulfilling all of the requirements for the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) Certified Payroll Management Program (CPMP) at the level of Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP).

CPA requires a Work Experience Requirement Application (WERA) and a passing grade of 65% for certification, including a transfer credit of Introduction to Accounting. For more information on CPA requirements, visit www.payroll.ca.
