Skilled Trades, Auto, Fire Programs

  • ACOT is a safety training program that prepares you for work in agriculture, construction, oilfield and driving industries, in just 7 short weeks. You will receive industry-recognized certifications and training that will prepare you to transition to work, and we will assist you with the employability training and job search support you need to be successful. Starting wages in these industries are very competitive, and there are many opportunities for advancement! Solid training solutions for really flexible employment!

  • Training Inc. provides a variety of safety training courses offered through qualified instructors and accredited training centres. We deliver Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA), Fall Protection Group, ENFORM, St. John Ambulance, and the Alberta Common Ground Alliance (ABCGA) courses.

Legal, Policing Programs

  • Welcome to the Alberta Basic Security Training course. During this 40-hour computer course, you will begin to develop the knowledge and skills required of a security professional and, upon successful completion of the course, you will write the provincial licencing exam. You will also be ready to take on a role in the security field.

  • Welcome to the Alberta Investigator Training course. During this 40-hour instructor-led course you will begin to develop the knowledge and skills required of a professional investigator and, upon successful completion of the course, you will be well-prepared to write the provincial licencing exam. You will also be ready to take on a role in the field of investigations.

  • Training Inc. offers a 5-week funded Security Professional Training Program for those wanting to work in the security profession. Security Professionals, including Security Guards and Patrol Officers, work in a number of different environments, both indoors and outdoors. For example, in airports, shopping centres, banks, at conventions or public events, in parking lots, construction sites, hospitals, galleries, or in a variety of other public buildings. In order to work in Alberta, those working in Security Services require a Security Services Licence issued through the Alberta Justice and Solicitor’s General Office. However, in order to be prepared for work in this industry, you will need additional training, which we deliver in this program.

  • Training Inc. considers your individual needs important and have flexible scheduling and courses to meet those needs. A qualified instructor on-site to offer you support and guidance, and our hands-on courses help advance your skills for the workplace. Certificates are issued for the successful completion of each course. General computer courses can be taken in Lethbridge, Pincher Creek, or Cardston (see lab hours).

Healthcare, Wellness, Pharma Programs

  • Training Inc. is pleased to offer this 3-day or 4-evening (18-hour) course, as developed by Alberta Health Services. This course provides Health Care Professionals with the training and skills required for medication assistance in long-term, lodge and independent group living facilities. The course consists of 11 modules developed by Alberta Health Services and recognized throughout the healthcare industry. Some of the modules include medications for the elderly, diabetics, needle safety and documentation.

  • Training Inc. offers you the dynamic Office Assistant Program! Designed specifically for those who are employment bound. With this full-time, 13-week program you will receive training on computer applications, administrative and customer/client service skills specific for the office. In addition, you will have a 2-week practicum (included in the 13-weeks) and employment assistance.

Accreditation, Membership, and Compliance
  • Our school offers several programs that are licensed by the Private Career Colleges Branch of Alberta through the Ministry of Alberta Advanced Education. Our licensed educational programs are offered in accordance with the Private Vocational Training Act and Regulations as set out by the Government of Alberta.
  • Licensing allows you to feel confident in our programs as well as your own achievements! It enables us to help you access Provincial and Federal loans through Student Aid. Licensing also gives you confidence in the quality of your programs and curriculum, because you can be sure that licensed programs have gone through a formal review and approval process.
  • Program curriculum is provided and/or created to meet and maintain standards set out through regulated bodies whenever possible (i.e.: Training Inc. has an agreement with the Minister of Health and Wellness Alberta to deliver the approved Health Care Aide Government of Alberta Provincial Curriculum).

We recognize and thank Charlotte for her dedication to Training Inc., and we salute her 50+ years as a Registered Nurse and member of CARNA. This provincial, committee-selected award is a significant achievement for Charlotte.
