Summit College

MISSION

Fuel lifelong success by empowering individuals with skills and awareness to reach higher personal potential.

Our diploma and certificate programs are relevant to today’s high demand jobs and are offered at eight campus locations across southern Ontario. Our students succeed because of our learning-centered model powered by humanist principles that respect every person as a whole. Accordingly, our unique teaching approaches are customized to optimize learning and increase your chances for success in the workplace.

METHOD

Summit College is a unique private career college which embraces the notion that we are all individuals. The Summit Method is a company-wide approach that encourages each individual to reach his or her personal power to succeed.

To put the theory into practice, we:

Address the needs of the whole person by using strategies that help students realize both educational and life goals.

Recognize and respect life challenges. Adult students often experience trepidation about learning and starting on new career paths.

Customize the learning process for each student with unique strategies that fit different learning styles.

Teach self-management skills that propel students toward success in employment and in life.

Shift students' belief level by instilling in them a success-is-possible mindset.

The Summit Method "stretches the bell curve": students' attitudes improve, confidence rises, and employment prospects open wide.

DIFFERENCE

The strength of our programs lie in three essential strategies that have become standard practice at Summit College.  Together they create the Summit difference - what makes us unique and the first choice for students who are serious about their careers.

Customization

Each Summit student is unique. Adapting specific learning strategies to meet his or her individual needs is cost-effective in helping ensure training time provides a solid return. Summit also provides a learning continuum: academic training, leading to diploma and certificate skills training... and professional development and upgrading. Summit provides valuable training for all ages and stages of life.

Employment Focus

The entire Summit team focuses on ensuring student employment. Programs are designed and kept current in concert with companies who hire our graduates, so we know the material our students learn is what they need to get a job, perform well, and keep the job.  Summit College graduates are job ready.

Kaizen

We are keen about continuous improvement - rethinking and reworking program content and systems in order to keep current and effective.
