    The Robertson College Massage Therapy program provides research and evidence-informed education that goes beyond the standards in the key areas of anatomy, physiology, therapeutic techniques, and research.

    • Learn to properly assess client problems with an understanding of their specific issues
    • Be introduced to orthopedics and learn how to perform orthopedic physical assessments to assess gait and posture
    • Learn about the skeletal system, relevant ligaments, and the nerve supply of the upper and lower extremity so that you may have the proper foundation for professional practice

  • Medical Laboratory Assistants are responsible for collecting and receiving blood, tissue, and other samples from patients; logging samples and preparing them for testing; performing routine tests and sample analyses; and setting up, cleaning, sterilizing and maintaining laboratories and equipment.

    Program Overview

    Learn how to safely collect and receive blood, tissue, and other samples from patients in the Medical Laboratory Assistant diploma program at Robertson College Winnipeg.  As well, you will learn how to log samples and prepare them for testing, perform routine tests and sample analyses, and set up, clean, sterilize and maintain laboratories and equipment.  Our program is affiliated with the Department of Human Anatomy & Cell Science and the Department of Microbiology at the University of Manitoba. This allows our students to receive further training in the specialized areas of Histology, Cytology, and Microbiology using the university’s state of the art labs. The Medical Laboratory Assistant program is committed to:

With the new focus on Pharmacists to provide complete pharmaceutical and healthcare services, Pharmacy Technicians are needed so that pharmacists can spend more time with their patients.

    The Robertson College Pharmacy Technician program is based on the NAPRA Competencies and CPTEA Educational Outcomes for Pharmacy Technicians at Entry to Practice. Successful graduates of the Pharmacy Technician program will be eligible to register with the Alberta College of Pharmacy as Provisional Pharmacy Technicians. Pharmacy Technicians registered with the Alberta College of Pharmacy are health care professionals regulated under the Health Professions Act of Alberta. Vision To provide a high-quality education that is focused on the needs of students and employers; allowing graduates to find successful employment in their chosen profession and to provide the knowledge and skills that they need to achieve success as health practitioners.     Our Teaching Facilities at Robertson College Calgary

    The teaching facilities at Robertson College Calgary include both a simulated retail and institutional pharmacy with sterile compounding laminar airflow hoods. The students are able to fill prescriptions using the Kroll computer system and receive hands-on training in the simulated pharmacy labs.

    The Nursing Assistant program at Robertson College provides the Health Care Aide and Health Unit Clerk training required for graduates to work in a variety of health care settings from hospitals to long-term care facilities.

    Program Overview

    The Network Systems Administrator program offered at Robertson College Calgary will provide you with the skills you need to become a skilled member of the IT profession. As part of the diploma program, you will gain knowledge in areas recognized by industry standards such as Microsoft, CompTIA, and Cisco. You will have the option to challenge a limited number of certification exams pending course outcomes.
