Healthcare, Wellness, Pharma Programs

  • The Fast-Track Massage Therapy Program spans three semesters and is specifically designed for individuals who hold a degree in kinesiology and are well-versed in musculoskeletal anatomy, biomechanics, and rehabilitative exercises. This tailored program enhances their foundational knowledge by incorporating advanced subjects related to health sciences, clinical sciences, clinical and professional practice.

The curriculum gradually intensifies in complexity, beginning with basic massage techniques and evolving into sophisticated treatment methodologies. Integral to the program are the principles of ethics, legislation, and practice management, which are seamlessly integrated with orthopedic assessment and rehabilitation techniques. As the program progresses, students have increasing opportunities to practice their acquired skills in a clinical setting within the student clinic, as well as in real-world scenarios through outreach activities with patients.

  • The Advanced Standing Program is exclusively open to candidates who have a background in specific educational fields, including musculoskeletal anatomy, physiology, pathology, orthopedic assessment, nutrition, and remedial exercise. The program is structured into nine weekend modules that blend both lectures and hands-on training.

The curriculum emphasizes adherence to CMTO (College of Massage Therapists of Ontario) regulatory standards, professional ethics, legal aspects of the practice, as well as both introductory and complex massage therapy techniques, hydrotherapy, and the application of massage therapy in treating various injuries, disabilities, and health conditions based on outcome-oriented approaches. Participants have the opportunity to hone their skills in a practical setting within the student clinic and through engagements in patient outreach initiatives.

  • The Comprehensive Massage Therapy Program spans over five semesters, offering an in-depth education in health sciences, including anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology. The curriculum is carefully structured so that each semester builds upon the knowledge acquired in the previous one, gradually advancing from basic massage techniques to a complex and integrated treatment skill set.

Throughout the program, important themes such as ethics, legal frameworks, and practice management are seamlessly incorporated, alongside orthopedic assessment and rehabilitation techniques. As students progress, they are given increased opportunities to practice their skills in real-world settings, both within the student clinic and through external patient outreach initiatives.

  • The Primary Care Paramedics program is aligned with the National Occupational Profiles, ensuring its relevance and applicability across different provinces and internationally. This program equips students with the skills to provide pre-hospital emergency medical care to individuals suffering from injuries or illnesses, and to facilitate their transportation to hospitals or medical facilities for advanced care.

Graduates of this program find employment in a variety of settings, including private ambulance services, hospitals, fire departments, government entities, manufacturing companies, mining operations, and other sectors within the private industry.

  • Medical/Dental Office Administrators are crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of doctor’s offices, clinics, and hospitals. Their responsibilities include a wide range of administrative and clerical tasks, facilitated by their proficiency in office software and the operation of various office equipment. Additionally, they play a key role in the documentation process, accurately transcribing surgical proceedings, medical reports, and records.

This transcription work often involves converting machine-dictated recordings or rough notes into formal medical reports, correspondence, and organized patient information. Through their detailed and meticulous work, these administrators support the critical functions of medical and dental practices, contributing significantly to patient care and the efficiency of healthcare services.
