    The Nimbus Advanced Audio Engineering Diploma Program is a hands on training program designed to equip you with the industry skills for a career working in any studio, anywhere in the world, or in your own studio.

    Upon completing the Advanced Audio Engineering Program, regardless of genre – you will be knowledgeable of the art and craft of engineering the highest quality recordings of music and sound. You will be confident in all areas of the studio, from signal flow to mastering, with endless hours of hands on experience working with real artists. You’ll graduate fully equipped to be a Professional Audio Engineer.

  • PROGRAM OVERVIEW

    Advanced Studio Production is an intensive program designed to help you master the craft of producing studio-based music recordings and to get you working in the vibrant music industry. You will explore the fundamentals as well as the logistical and creative elements involved in the production of an audio recording. The Advanced Studio Production Program will ensure that you have mastered the technology, while also establishing your own clear creative point-of-view to get the most out of your artists, and understand how you work as a music producer.

    You will develop the wisdom to make the decisions that lead to getting the best out of musicians and to create compelling and successful music; one of the most rewarding aspects of this exciting career path.
    Upon completing the Advanced Studio Production Program, you will come out with your own EP, hold the essential skill set of pre-production, song structure, understand your own creative style, and will hold months of experience recording and creating professional music recordings of real artists. You’ll graduate equipped to be a Professional Music Producer.

  • PROGRAM OVERVIEW

    The Electronic Music Production Diploma explores the logistical and creative elements involved in composition, production and remixing in the context of electronic dance music as well as wider genres influenced by electronic music.
    This is not a “press play DJ” program. Original music creation, programming, synthesis, sound design, production and remixing will comprise the core of the program. The Electronic Music Production Diploma is portfolio based and each student will build a repertoire of their own creations, remixes, and collaborations. You will be encouraged to participate and collaborate on each other’s productions and create live performances going beyond simple DJ’ing. Post-production includes mixing and mastering and will provide the necessary skills required to complete a project through lab work and mentorship.

  • PROGRAM OVERVIEW

    The Post Production & Game Audio Program focuses on the technology and techniques used in the creation and implementation of audio for film, television and gaming. The five core components included are: dialogue, sound design, audio capturing, integration and mixing. The topic of dialogue covers location recording, automatic dialogue replacement and standard editing practices. In the sound design and audio capturing topics, you will learn how a detailed and immersive auditory environment can enhance a visual experience, and through lab work and mentorship will gain experience in recording, signal processing and synthesis. You will be expected to create compelling soundtracks for film, TV and video games demonstrating their understanding of the concepts presented, using industry standard tools such as Pro Tools and WWise.

    Upon successful completion of the Post Production & Game Audio Program you will be able to create, manage and implement all the audio elements for film, television or gaming. Grads will be confident in designing and integrating sounds that react to user input and will leave Nimbus with a valuable portfolio including live action and animation shorts, as well as a working video game demo.

    This program allows students to delve into all aspects of audio engineering and music production. Exploring and perfecting the fundamentals as well as the logistical and creative elements involved in the production of an audio recording. Learn to make the recording studio your instrument. The Introduction to the Music Industry Program will ensure that you have mastered the fundamentals of music production technology, while also establishing your own clear creative point-of-view to get the most out of your artists, and understand how you work as a producer. Students come out of the Introduction to the Music Industry Program with a strong fundamental skill set, and the confidence to navigate the challenges of the music industry. With mentor-based hands on learning, the students will understand all of the elements involved in helping any artist achieve their best, on the creative side, as well as having solidified their chops on the technical side. Industry standard tools such as Pro Tools are used to ensure that each student completes a professional portfolio for use after graduation.   • PROGRAM OVERVIEW

    The Live Sound Recording & Mixing Program explores the logistical, technical and creative elements involved in the production, sound engineering and recording of a live musical event. The five core components included are: live sound reinforcement, live event recording, PA and sound system design, equipment installation/maintenance and show management. You will be equipped as a sound engineer learning live sound reinforcement which includes all technical aspects of effectively using a PA system to enhance the audience experience by working with the performers to create a compelling sound mix. Live event recording strives to ensure that you can professionally capture, enhance, edit and mix a live performance, empowering you to offer rich media content to prospective clients. The topic of sound system design will enable you to meet the needs of any show producer by masterfully selecting and implementing the right equipment for the event. Equipment maintenance and installation will give you the tools needed to permanently install sound systems and conduct simple field repairs on equipment. The show management element will inform you about stage management and tour management, ensuring that you become well rounded potential employees in the field.     The Advanced Music Industry & Business Program focuses on equipping you with essential skills for an array of music industry career choices. The course begins with creating a career development plan, receiving feedback and mentorship from instructors from multiple disciplines. The program delves into all areas of music business from marketing & business plans, to bookkeeping, event production, promotion, managing and signing artists, tour management, public relations and more! The program combines classroom learning with career focused lectures, guest speakers, and practical assignments. Students will gain up-to-the-minute skills training in the music industry, in real industry settings, alongside renowned music industry professionals. You will not only learn about the music industry, but you will be in it from Day 1 of classes!

    The 4-month intensive Artist Development Program provides bootcamp-style learning focused on the artist from song to style. At the completion of the program, you will understand everything involved in taking your career from the garage to the big stage. Key learning outcomes include extensive knowledge in aspects of songwriting, performance, touring, marketing, social media, style, and brand identity. You will learn how to package and pitch yourself to industry leaders as a branded artist. The goal of the Artist Development Program is not to launch a career in four months, but to help you build the perfect team to assist you into becoming a commercially viable brand. You will work on recordings, photoshoots and videos, not as a final package, but as training for building your own brand and identity. Ultimately, you as the artist will need to walk through the doors that are opened – on your own merit. What you put in is what you will immensely gain.   • PROGRAM OVERVIEW

    This is our most comprehensive music production program. Upon completion, the combination of both studio-based production with “in the box” music production will give you the confidence to work in any studio, anywhere in the world – or even to start up your own studio! This 16-month music production program takes you through four stages of learning. Training begins with an intro to audio engineering, then music production, advanced studio production, and then into advanced electronic music production. Upon completing the Advanced Studio & Electronic Music Production Program, you will have acquired four immersive stages of skill building. The first stage consists of hands-on audio engineering training, into music production, then advanced studio production, ending with the electronic music production specialization. You will have the ability to take on any project, of any genre, in studio, or “in-the-box”, anywhere in the world, gaining competitive assets to be a Professional Studio Producer & Electronic Music Producer.
