The Administrative Office Professional program prepares students for professional careers in various offices. Our small classes – taught by experienced instructors who have been in the positions you aspire to – simulate a real office environment. You’ll learn all the details it takes to keep the office running smoothly, from accounting and bookkeeping to office procedures, conference planning and records management. Not to mention you’ll be using the latest industry-standard software to complete your assignments. You’ll know everything you need to excel before you even walk into the office.
  • We can help you become an integral part of the business world in our Business Administration program. Your first year will allow you to acquire basic business skills, building a solid foundation of effective business principles. Culinary Arts Programs

  • Blend your passion for baked goods into a career you love in the Baker Apprenticeship. The Baker Apprenticeship is delivered through the provincial Weekly Apprenticeship Training System (WATS). And as a baker in WATS, you’ll be earning dough while making dough – you’ll work full-time in the industry and attend class just one day a week. On campus, you’ll acquire new skills and expand your expertise in the art of baking. From preparing cakes, pastries and quick breads to becoming certified in Food Safe, you’ll cover it all. And you’ll gain organizational and management skills studying formula calculations to estimate baking requirements and daily menu planning. On the job, you’ll be able to immediately test out your newly acquired skills and expertise.
  • With the right combination of ingredients, training and skill, you can create magic in the kitchen. And your recipe for success can be found in the Cook – Weekly Apprenticeship Training System (WATS) program. From catering special banquets to preparing meals for large institutions to cooking up gourmet delights in an upscale restaurant, your Cook Apprenticeship prepares you for it all. This three-year apprenticeship takes place with your needs in mind. One day a week is spent here at the college, expanding your expertise and gaining technical training vital to your culinary future. For the rest of the week, you’ll be putting what you’ve learned into practice on the job. It’s the perfect blend that allows you to pursue your education while continuing to earn an income.
  • Our Culinary Careers program is as well-planned as a gourmet meal. As an appetizer, we’ll teach you about restaurant production methods before moving onto a second course in sweet and savoury techniques. For the main course, we’ll serve up a paid industry placement. Finishing off with dessert, you’ll be immersed in dining-room cuisine. While you’re with us, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to prepare real meals for real customers, create menus, work in teams and explore your creativity. Healthcare, Wellness, Pharma Programs

  • We’ve partnered with the University of Lethbridge to bring you a collaborative four-year bachelor degree in nursing.

    Often referred to as Nursing Education in Southwestern Alberta (NESA), the bachelor program splits your time between the college and the university, preparing you for a career as a registered nurse.

    For your first two years, you’ll learn at Lethbridge College in small classes taught by experienced instructors. You’ll combine theory and practical learning to develop skills in clinical reasoning, innovative clinical practices and leadership. And you’ll be exposed to real-life situations through hands-on experience in our Simulated Patient Health Environment for Research and Education (SPHERE) lab. Course-related practicums in hospitals, community health care agencies and home care agencies will put you in the field working with diverse populations across all age groups. You’ll even participate in a 350-hour senior consolidation experience where you’ll work one-on-one with a registered nurse preceptor. When your education is complete, you’ll be more than ready to write the NCLEX-RN exam to obtain your registered nurse licence in Canada.

This one-year program equips you with the knowledge, experience and hours needed to start working right away or continue on to an apprenticeship. It’s the best of both worlds. In 32 weeks – just two semesters – you’ll get training on everything you need to know to work on the steel giants of modern society, from suspensions and powertrains to fuel systems, mobile hydraulics and everything in between. You’ll even get a first-hand experience of what awaits after graduation during a two-week practicum in a repair facility, where you’ll work as a mechanic with qualified journeymen. Our modern shop facilities have the latest in diagnostic technologies and tools. And, you’ll test your skills working on a wide range of on and off-road vehicles and farm equipment.   • Over four years, you’ll mix on-the-job training with technical experience in the Agricultural Equipment Technician Apprenticeship program. Spending nearly 80 per cent of your time on the job, you’ll learn as you go from qualified technicians in the field. The remaining 20 per cent will be spent in our classrooms and shops, where you’ll learn how to maintain, diagnose and repair or overhaul equipment such as tractors, combines, sprayers and more. The agriculture industry is crucial to our food supply, and keeping farm equipment running is a necessity you’ll be able to provide as an agricultural equipment technician.
