  •  Introduction:

    KDM's education goal is to provide each student with the opportunity to gain theoretical knowledge and to transfer this knowledge to practical application, thus becoming a capable, successful member of a dental team; and to encourage and enhance our student's development as confident, motivated and independent individuals committed to this profession and the need for life-long learning.

     Program Description:

    The Dental Assisting Diploma program at KDM Dental College is a CDAC Accredited Program.
    • Accelerated 28 week program;
    • Classroom hours are 8:00am - 3:30pm Tuesday - Thursday during weeks 1 - 12;
    • Clinic hours are 8:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Thursday; 8:00am - 2:30pm Friday during weeks 13 - 21;
    • Patient clinic hours are 7:30am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday, approximately during weeks 22 - 24;
    • Tutorial/Re-evaluation times are 2:30pm - 3:30pm Tuesday - Thursday;
    • 150 unpaid practicum hours to be completed during weeks 25 - 28 of the program - exact hours to be discussed with your practicum office.

The mission of the Dental Assisting Program is to assist students in meeting KDM's educational goals and to provide a high standard of accessible, affordable and flexible education for the dental profession while contributing to the general well being of the public.

*All student funding, whether made available privately or through various government branches, is only approved to those who qualify, by the original source of funding. There are many criteria that each candidate must meet to be approved. Schools can only inform you of what may be available.
