  This diploma program prepares the graduate for professional and paraprofessional positions in areas of counselling and intake within correctional facilities, group homes, young offender facilities, emergency shelters, schools, youth and adult counselling facilities, mental health centers, and other institutions.

  Upon entering this intense 52-week program, students will be coached by highly qualified instructors who bring over twenty years of focused training, specialized certifications, and affiliations with the Canadian Addiction Counselling Certification Federation (CACCF).  They also offer a genuine passion for teaching individuals who choose to pursue a career working with this vulnerable sector of our community.

  The Pharmacy Technician diploma program at CTS Canadian Career College prepares you to become a regulated pharmacy technician (RPhT) through Canada's first blended distance education model for this profession. Over 79 weeks (1,830 hours), you'll gain comprehensive knowledge in pharmacology, compounding, sterile products, hospital and community pharmacy practice, preparing you for PEBC qualifying exams and provincial registration. • Medical Laboratory Assistant Technician
  It is with excitement that CTS Canadian Career College is now offering a 50 week Medical Laboratory Assistant/Technician program (including a 225 hour placement): Another new addition to our Health Sciences program offerings. Medical Laboratory Assistant/Technicians (MLAT) perform a vital role in the medical laboratory team. They are trained in the collection of specimens from patients, the initial processing and preparation of specimens for analysis, data entry, clerical services, performance of electrocardiograms (ECG’s), and a variety of essential laboratory procedures. This program will prepare you to apply for employment in a variety of laboratory settings. The program consists of theory, practical skills application, and practicum components. Upon successful completion, you will receive a diploma from the College, which will allow you to write the MLPAO Certification Examination. • Paramedic
  Today’s paramedics are the highly-trained front line of our medical services system. This critical profession calls for candidates who possess equal measures of self-confidence, inner strength and unwavering commitment to helping those in distress. Our 53 week Paramedic training program, which includes a 450 hour placement, provides the skills and knowledge you will need to practice emergency pre-hospital medical care and to function as an integral member of the health care team, assisting victims of accidents and illness, safely transporting patients and, if needed, continuing emergency treatment after arrival at a health care centre. The Paramedic program includes clinical and field placements. Typical employers include non-institutional health services, provincial and municipal governments, hospitals, manufacturing, mining and other private sector organizations.   The Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate program prepares you for a rewarding healthcare career providing vital care to individuals who need assistance with daily activities—the elderly, those recovering from illness, and individuals with disabilities. • Massage Therapy

  The CTS Canadian Career College Massage Therapy Program provides a thorough education of both fundamental and advanced massage skills to prepare you for a career path as a massage therapist. Your diploma allows you to pursue career opportunities in physicians’ offices, spas, hotels, fitness centres or even explore self-employment. Throughout our 84-week program, you will study a wide range of massage therapy techniques as well as anatomy and pathophysiology related systems, health care terminology, nutrition and pharmacology. You will gain a strong knowledge of laws and regulations, ethics and professional practice and key business practices that help you launch a successful career.
  
  Two clinical externships provide opportunities to treat members of the public in a safe and ethical manner and demonstrate effective communication and professional skills.
  
  Upon successful completion of the program, you will be eligible to write the provincial certification exam with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).

  Graduation Requirements

  In order to successfully complete this program, students will be required to earn a minimum grade of 70% in all theory and practical courses, a minimum grade of 70% in each of the final theory and practical examinations, and complete 330 hours of faculty-supervised direct massage therapy to the public. These will be completed in our in house Clinic as well as our Outreach opportunities.

• Medical Office Administrator

  This 52-Week (including a 125 placement) diploma program prepares the graduate for administrative positions working in medical environments including clinics, hospitals, physician’s offices, physiotherapists and many more. Graduates will possess strong office administrative and computer skills combined with a basic understanding of anatomy, pathology and pharmacology. Graduates will use appropriate terminology when dealing with medical staff and clients/patients and will be able to assist medical staff with the care and administration of patients. Graduates will be prepared to produce transcribed reports and process computerized OHIP billing and associated documentation.

CTS Canadian Career College’s 53 week Business Program (including a 200 hour placement) is specially designed to provide our students the skills they need to excel in various dynamic business environments. This 53-Week program provides practical training in office management practices, including operations, structure and functions, problem solving relative to people, equipment and procedures, and accounting and payroll practices including accounts payable/ receivable, trial balances, bookkeeping, journal entries, and payroll administration. The incorporation of CPA approved payroll courses provides graduates with a comprehensive skill set for today’s competitive job market. Students must successfully complete the Canadian Payroll Association’s Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification and participate in a 200-hour placement to receive an Accounting and Payroll Administrator diploma. The Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) offers the only payroll certifications in Canada. Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification The CPA’s PCP certification is the foundation for a career in payroll.  Gain an in-depth understanding of the legislative requirements to keep your organization compliant throughout the annual payroll cycle.  When you get certified, you join a growing community of supportive professionals and gain access to the resources you need to stay current and compliant.   Law clerks are trained to provide many important and highly specialized administrative duties related to the legal field. As a result, this profession has become an increasingly valuable resource to law firms and businesses alike. • Police Foundations
  Natural attrition and a growing urban population have resulted in an increasing demand for new police and security personnel. The OPP, RCMP and municipal agencies are currently actively pursuing new recruits. Graduates of the Police Foundations 51-Week program are trained to pursue a career in the various policing agencies across Canada. Alternative career paths include Canadian customs and immigration, custody and correctional services, and federal and provincial government enforcement bodies. Court bailiffs, campus police, wardens, personal and property security officers, 9-1-1 operators, and loss prevention control personnel are also in high demand across the country. Throughout the program, students become involved with their local community through assisting police services or event security detail.
