Human & Social Services, CSW Programs

  • The Addictions and Community Services Worker program is a diploma program comprised of on-campus lectures and labs, field trips, industry-related projects, and a work experience component that provides the student with the theory, hands-on experience, and applied learning opportunities.

    The program prepares the graduate for entry-level positions in community social services with particular attention to the specific needs of people affected with addiction.

    The program includes courses in the fundamentals related to addictions and community services, building relationships, life management, and finally, professional and workplace skills.

    Admission Requirements

    • High school graduation or equivalent*, or mature student** status.
    • Pass college’s admissions test.
    • Criminal record check (in accordance with the Criminal Records Review Act).
    • Immunization report (form provided by the College).
    • Complete ‘Student Declaration – Social Services Worker Programs’ form (provided by the College).

    *From an English-language teaching institution.
    **19 years of age upon starting classes, and Pass the college's English admissions test.

    This program has been approved by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training.

     

Business, Accounting, Marketing Programs

  • In the Business and Digital Marketing Management diploma program, you will gain a solid understanding of the business skills required for working in entry-level business management positions or for operating your own business. The 21st century digital, mobile, and social media landscape has transformed how businesses market, promote, and sell their products and services, and manage their client relations.

    The program will explore social media and digital marketing, selling, and analytical practices that have evolved from the exponential growth of digital media communication while also exploring the various social media platforms and tools and how these tools can be incorporated by marketers and managers to promote and expand their business and connect with their customers.

    This program will provide graduates with the essential knowledge and skills necessary to plan, analyze and execute e-media marketing campaigns as part of a business based digital marketing and management strategy. Students will learn the skills and business analytics necessary to effectively use advanced digital tools and techniques that are now an essential component of effective digital marketing strategies.

  • Logistics & Supply Chain Management

    Supply chain management deals with the logistics of the flow of goods and services from suppliers to consumers.

    Inside the supply chain are a number of stages such as procurement, storage, transportation and distribution, and requires a variety of skills including supply and demand estimation and forecasting, operations planning, financial planning, negotiation, technical and IT.

    The Logistics & Supply Chain Management diploma program is designed to prepare students to succeed in and excel in this field.

    The supply chain sector is one of the largest employers in Canada, with close to a million people employed in occupations directly related to it and is expected to steadily grow in the future offering tens of thousands of new positions every year.

  • CDI College's Medical Office Administration diploma program is meant for students with an interest in science, medicine, and working with the public. Graduates of this program are employed in a variety of work environments including hospitals, private medical practices, and clinics.

    The program covers fundamental office procedures and technology such as information processing, business procedures, keyboarding, and Microsoft Word and Excel programs. It also teaches medical office-specific skills like human anatomy, medical terminology, and medical machine transcription. Students are able to put these skills into practice through a mandatory practicum in a real-world medical office.

    Students continue to be supported after graduation through our Career and Employment Services department, which assists with job search and interviewing skills, employer expectations, and resume preparation.

  • The Social Media and Web Marketing diploma program at CDI College gives you the focused, relevant marketing career training you need to start an exciting new career.

    In the program, you'll learn the keys of digital marketing on major platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, along with Reddit, Snapchat, and other emerging new channels.

    Throughout the social media training portion of the program, your instructors will place a strong emphasis on developing your knowledge of analytics and statistics, with the goal of understanding the importance of data in planning and executing marketing plans.

    Additionally, you'll sharpen your skills in content creation, outreach, and social media aggregation tools, as well as multimedia and video marketing, ensuring your education is well-rounded.

     

    SEO & SEM Training

     

    A major focus of the Social Media and Web Marketing program is learning to grow your clients' marketing reach with quality Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) training.

    In addition to your SEO and SEM training, you'll also gain expertise in business analytics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), so you'll gain an understanding of tracking return on investment (ROI) via the various customer relationship management (CRM) tools used by marketing professionals to disseminate web analytics each day.

     

    On-The-Job Marketing Practicum Placement

     

    As part of your career training in the Social Media and Web Marketing diploma program, you'll take part in a six-week, 180-hour practicum placement, working with experienced marketers in a real-world environment, giving you valuable work experience prior to graduation.

Healthcare, Wellness, Pharma Programs

  • The Pharmacy Assistant diploma program at CDI College offers job-ready training in the office, clerical, and medical skills to provide the essential support required by pharmacists.

    BC Pharmacy Assistant Program

    In the program, you'll learn about pharmacology, pharmaceutical calculations, medical terminology, communications, pharmacy industry software and computer programs, inventory, billing and administration, as well as customer service skills.

    After completing your courses - which includes training in first aid, CPR-C and WHMIS - you'll embark on a three-week practicum placement to gain work experience.

    Upon graduation, you'll receive a Pharmacy Assistant diploma and be prepared to start working as a key support to pharmacists and others in the pharmacy field.
