  • As an Accounting and Payroll Administrator, you will play a key role in any business. Get an Accounting and Payroll Administrator diploma at CDI College to equip you for the demands of the current job market.

    A Diploma in Accounting

    By completing the Accounting and Payroll Administrator program, you’ll gain computer and office administration skills and a practical foundation in accounting, computerized accounting systems, and payroll. Accounting courses will prepare you to enter the workforce by teaching you how to do journal entries, how to read financial statements, and how to adjust accounts. Bookkeeping courses will teach you the fundamental principles of reporting business activities.

    Accounting Certification

    Through CDI College’s Accounting and Payroll Administrator diploma, you’ll also gain a competitive edge by fulfilling all of the requirements for the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) Certified Payroll Management Program (CPMP) at the level of Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP).

  • Develop the essential skills and knowledge you need to compete in the dynamic and changing world of business. Our Business Management program provides a broad examination of business management and administration while helping students develop the tools they need to launch a rewarding career.

    Students focus on essential elements of accounting and finance, including foundation mathematics, bookkeeping, financial accounting, and computerized accounting.   • Ready for a rewarding career in the world of business? Thanks to CDI College's Human Resource and Payroll Coordinator program, you can gain the in-demand skills needed to start a new career in human resources and payroll in under one year. In this program, delivered online and on campus, you will learn fundamental human resources topics including employment law, organizational behaviour, training, compensation, and more.

Human & Social Services, CSW Programs

  • The Addictions and Community Services Worker program is a diploma program comprised of on-campus lectures and labs, field trips, industry-related projects, and a work experience component that provides the student with the theory, hands-on experience, and applied learning opportunities.

    The program prepares the graduate for entry-level positions in community social services with particular attention to the specific needs of people affected with addiction.

    The program includes courses in the fundamentals related to addictions and community services, building relationships, life management, and finally, professional and workplace skills.

  • CDI College's Addictions Recovery Support for Youth and Families program is designed to prepare you for a new career in a wide range of settings, including any facility that deals with alcohol and drug abuse clients or agencies and facilities providing community services, with an emphasis on the needs of children, youth and those responsible for them.

    The program is broken down into four parts: Common Skills, Addictions Core Skills, Child and Youth Skills, and Workplace Skills. In each part, you will get hands-on training in key concepts relating to working in social services.

    Once you have completed the four modules successfully, the program concludes with a 300-hour practicum, where you will be working with clients in the community.

    The Addictions Recovery Support for Youth and Families program is officially recognized by the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF), meaning the curriculum has been approved by the CACCF Curriculum Review Committee, and meets all the education requirements for students seeking CACCF certifications.

    Hands-on Services Worker Training

    Child and Youth Services Workers are indispensable in Alberta's healthcare system. In a given day, you will be working under the supervision of counsellors, dealing with many different issues affecting children and youth.

    The Child and Youth Services worker program gives you hands-on, job-ready training helping at-risk youth with family concerns, legal issues, access and success in education, physical and mental health, and addictions.

    Top Community Worker and Child and Youth Services Training

    Split into two parts, the Child and Youth Services Worker program first focuses on the community services worker part of your diploma, with courses in social service work, professional communication, working with families, diversity and social justice, as well as the fundamentals of poverty, addiction, and mental health.

    The second part of the program focuses on child and youth services, and includes training in child development, including trauma, grief and loss, advocacy and empowerment of youth, the youth and social welfare systems in Canada, interviewing techniques, youth justice issues, and youth diversity.

    The content of this networking program is based on industry certification requirements determined by Microsoft and CompTIA. If you determine that certification is an additional goal to your diploma, our courses will help to prepare you for your exams. Furthermore, your active participation in our Learning System will help you to develop confidence in your abilities as an IT professional.
     
    Students receive hands-on training on industry-standard software, and learn fundamental networking skills, hardware installation and configuration, system support and optimization, Windows operating system, MS Office applications, and help desk techniques.

  • The Network Systems Engineer program in BC prepares students for a career in the Information Technology field. Creative Arts, Interactive, Sound Programs

  • CDI College's Graphic Design - NTA.1U program is designed to train professionals for positions such as illustrator, scientific or medical illustrator, advertising designer, layout editor, or graphic artist.

    The Graphic Design program is comprised of two important components: an artistic component – which allows students to develop their creativity and their artistic sense, and an important technical component – through which they acquire skills in drawing, editing, typography, graphic communications and multimedia software. The projects undertaken are directly linked to the true nature and demands of the market and they reproduce realistic working conditions in order to foster the development of the expected skills and attitudes.

    Conditions for admission to an Attestation of College Studies (ACS)
     

    A person who has received instruction considered sufficient by the college and meets any of the following conditions may be admitted to a program of studies leading to an Attestation of College Studies: 

    • the person has interrupted his or her full-time studies or pursued full-time postsecondary studies for at least 2 consecutive terms or 1 school year;
    • the person is covered by an agreement entered into between the college and an employer or by a government program of studies;
    • the person has interrupted his or her full-time studies for one term and pursued full-time postsecondary studies for one term; or
    • the person holds a Secondary School Vocational Diploma.
     
    Graduation
    To graduate, students must obtain the required pass mark in each course.
     
    This program leads to an ACS (Attestation of College Studies) recognized by the Ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement Supérieur (MEES) (Permit 749747).

  • The Hospitality Management program at CDI College introduces students to several areas of the hotel and food services industry. Each course is designed to introduce students to different aspects of the hospitality field such as housekeeping management, food and beverage services, hotel security, and much more.

    Graduates have found work locally and abroad in restaurants and hotels as managers, supervisors, and other key hospitality management positions.

    CDI College's Legal Administrative Assistant program will teach you legal terminology, court systems, office procedures, legal record keeping, and bookkeeping.     BC Pharmacy Assistant Program

Skilled Trades, Auto, Fire Programs

  • You can get the training you need to ensure goods and services keep flowing to the customers who need them. Gain the skills and knowledge for an in-demand logistics career in the Warehouse and Distribution Management program. In less than a year of study, you'll learn everything you need to know about negotiation, transportation, demand planning, procurement, and other essential topics. You'll also gain real-world experience during a seven-week practicum placement.

    The warehousing and distribution sector is an integral part of the supply chain industry, which is one of the largest employers in Canada. NORTH YORK Campus

North York is one of the largest areas of Toronto. Prior to 1998 when it was merged into the city of Toronto, North York was the region’s second largest municipality.

As one of the most diverse areas in Toronto, North York is a collection of multicultural neighbourhoods with large Asian, West Indies, African, Middle Eastern, Jewish, Latin American, and European communities. The region is also home to some of Toronto’s most affluent sections including the York Mills, Hogg’s Hollow, Bridle Path, and Willowdale neighbourhoods.

In addition, the region is home to a growing central business district on Yonge Street between Sheppard and Finch Avenues.
