  • Artificial intelligence is a rapidly expanding field that is giving rise to new needs. In addition to participating in the emergence of new professions, artificial intelligence is renewing the way certain professions are practiced. CDI College's Artificial Intelligence Specialist – LEA.E3 program is thus designed to train qualified professionals capable of assuming, at the entry level of the job market, all the tasks in connection with data analysis in a business intelligence context and the development of computer applications in an organization.

    The analyst must essentially navigate between computer and business languages. The business intelligence analyst, using his knowledge of technologies, analyzes data exhaustively, thus enabling him to match the information to the organization's needs. The analyst collects data and identifies performance indicators in order to improve the quality of processes in each sector. He advises users who base their actions and strategic decisions on the information generated.

  • CDI College’s Computer Network Management – LEA.AE program is designed for students wishing to pursue a career in planning, implementing, administering, supporting and securing networked computer systems and their users. 

    Network design, installation, maintenance and management as well as implementation, and operating computer services are rapidly growing areas in the information technology industry. This program will help students develop the network planning, implementation, administration and computer user support skills required to meet employers' needs in these areas.

    Network administrator salary ranges vary dependant on experience, but skilled professionals in this area are well-compensated and in-demand.

  • The Design Web - LCA.C0 program at CDI College is tailored to prepare professionals for a variety of roles in the digital landscape, including web page designers, website architects, web developers, website developers, web programmers, and webmasters.

    This comprehensive program is structured around two core components:

  • The Network Management - LEA.AE program at CDI College has been designed so that graduates* can pursue a career in networking, whether in design, implementation, management, network security, or technical support. This program prepares students to design, implement, manage, and maintain networks in companies of various sizes, ranging from local networks to geographically dispersed wide area networks.

    Program Objectives

    The Network Management program has been designed so that graduates can:

    • utilize a structured programming language;

  • CDI College’s Programmer Analyst / Internet Solutions Developer - LEA.9C program is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in the development and updating of software applications.

     

    Programmer analysts develop applications in multiple environments such as Web and databases, by mastering both the techniques related to structured programming and those related to object-oriented programming. They can work in companies that have their own IT department, that produce software or that provide various IT services. Tasks can relate to analysis and design, construction and testing as well as implementation and integration into the targeted IT environment. Programmer analysts can also improve existing software and act as resource people for a network of users.

     

    The program focuses on Microsoft Visual C #, .NET, UML, Microsoft Project ™, Microsoft Access ™, Microsoft Office ™, Microsoft Visio ™, Javascript, MySQL, SQL Server, HTML, CSS and PHP. Additionally, students will learn the Java programming language, and get an introduction to CMS, AW, Agiles and programming for Android mobile devices.

  • Programmeur-Analyste – LEA.9C

    Computer programming jobs are challenging and well-paid. CDI College's Programmer Analyst/Internet Solutions Developer program trains students to excel in roles such as computer programmer, software development programmer, or programmer analyst.

     
    In this diploma program, students will learn how to assess business needs and create design solutions. They will learn to prepare and write programming code and manage, maintain and update existing programming code.
     
    Students will become proficient in Microsoft Visual C#, .NET, OOP, OOD, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, SQL Server, ADO.NET, XML, HTML, Visio, Script, ASP.NET, and Web Services. Students also develop skills in Object-Oriented Programming using either Java or C++.
  • The Cybersecurity Specialist – LEA.DV program at CDI College is designed to produce skilled professionals ready to handle all aspects of an organization's network security upon entering the job market.

    Cybersecurity specialists serve as a crucial defense against internet-based threats. These experts in encryption, firewalls, and antivirus systems continuously monitor regulations, emerging threats, and advancements in protective measures. Their role involves safeguarding sensitive data and maintaining information systems through vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. This process helps identify potential weaknesses, locate entry points, and determine appropriate security solutions.     Students will learn to create, animate and manage communities according to an organization’s marketing strategies. They will learn to develop, produce, integrate and update the various elements of a promotional campaign on social media. They will learn to plan and manage a content calendar. They will learn to follow up conversations online and take appropriate actions based on their knowledge of crisis management in conjunction with the organization’s mission. The program also focuses on search engine optimization and SEO strategies to maximize the organization’s positioning in various social media sites. Graduates will be able to use social media effectively for promotional purposes, integrate social media into organizational communication actions, monitor and manage an organization's online reputation in the domestic and international markets, etc.

    The program is comprised of two important components: a technical component – students acquire the skills needed in web programming, including training in the use of several software, in programming, in database and data management, and in server related technologies – and a creative component which allows them to develop their artistic ability through principles of design, colour and image processing.

    The program features several assignments, exercises and projects, including the creation of a professional portfolio. The projects undertaken are directly linked to the true nature of the work and students learn in realistic working conditions in order to foster the development of the required skills and attitudes.

Education, Teaching Programs

  • Early childhood education jobs are fun and rewarding. CDI College's Early Childhood Education - JEE.13 program will prepare you for a career working with children.

    The program covers child development, relationships, activities and lesson plans. Students will be taught to organize fine arts, expressive arts, health and safety, storytelling, and self-esteem building lessons for small children. Interpersonal communications, organizational skills, and stress and time management skill are also developed.

    Students gain hands-on experience through a practicum. Graduates of this program will be qualified for roles in daycares or may seek work in other child-oriented service centres.

    CDI College's Early Childhood Education - JEE.13 program allows students to:

    • plan and organize activities for pre-school and school-age children (0-12 years of age in Canada);
    • provide care and guidance to children under the supervision of certified early childhood educators;

  • The Special Education Techniques - JNC.1U program at CDI College aims to train professionals who may be called upon to work with youth, adults, and the elderly presenting various difficulties: physical or intellectual disabilities, behavioral disorders, mental health issues, or health-related disorders, in order to support their adaptation, rehabilitation, and/or social integration.

    Upon completion of their training, the graduate* will be able to: work in collaboration with teachers and other professionals to intervene directly with users presenting learning difficulties, adaptation difficulties, and/or behavioral disorders; participate in the development and application of intervention plans and identify means to achieve objectives; develop, organize, and lead various educational or pedagogical support activities, cultural, recreational, sports, etc. to develop skills in: social interaction, cognition, psychomotor abilities, communication, self-esteem, assertiveness, problem/conflict resolution; use intervention techniques adapted to crisis management contexts; collaborate, when necessary, with youth protection services, local community service centers, police, etc.

Business, Accounting, Marketing Programs

  • The financial management industry is fast-paced and competitive. You need a strong education in practical accounting and management in order to succeed. CDI College`s Financial Management - LEA.AC program provides hands-on training in the key areas of financial management such as computerized accounting systems, financial analysis and information systems management.

    You will develop an understanding of personal financial planning, taxation, marketing and business software. The program gives you a strong understanding of the legal and ethical implications of financial and wealth management, along with payroll and other key business concepts. You will also participate in two separate end of studies project or a practicum placement, which will give you the opportunity to put your classroom education to work in a real world workplace.

    Graduates of this program can apply to the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification from the  (CPA)*. PCP certification is the foundation for a career in payroll. Gain an in-depth understanding of the legislative requirements to keep your organization compliant throughout the annual payroll cycle. When you get certified, you join a growing community of supportive professionals and gain access to the resources you need to stay current and compliant.

    PCP certification requires four core courses and one year of related work experience. The requirements are as follows:

    1. Payroll Compliance Legislation
    2. Payroll Fundamentals 1
    3. Payroll Fundamentals 2
    4. Introduction to Accounting (offered at post-secondary institutions)
    5. Application for recognition of professional experience (DREP) with a minimum of one year of work experience in the field of payroll.

    A minimum pass grade of 65% is required for each course (including Introduction to Accounting). A combination of payroll education and payroll work experience ensures PCP certification is highly valued by employers.

    *CPA is the only association offering payroll accreditation programs in Canada.

  • The Social Media Management - NWY.1W program at CDI College aims to train qualified professionals capable of assuming, at the entry level of the job market, all tasks specific to a social media and/or Web community manager. It offers graduates a wide range of employment opportunities within a variety of companies.

    Upon completion of their training, the student* will know how to develop and animate a community according to an organization's marketing strategies. They will be able to develop, produce, integrate, and update various elements of a social media promotional campaign. They will be capable of planning and managing a content calendar. They will be able to monitor online conversations in order to intervene when necessary, thanks to their knowledge of crisis management and their respect for the organization's mission. Finally, through search engine optimization and the design of a natural or organic referencing strategy, they will ensure the organization's positioning on various social media sites.

    These professionals will notably know how to: effectively use social media for promotional purposes, integrate social media into organizational communication actions, monitor and manage the organization's online reputation in both domestic and international markets, etc.

  • CDI College’s Supply Chain Management – LCA.FL program aims to train qualified professionals who, upon completion of the program, will be able to perform all tasks related to the supply chain. It offers graduates a wide range of employment opportunities in a variety of businesses.

     

    Students will develop the skills they need to integrate the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors of Quebec’s economy in the small, medium and large production or service companies and in government agencies. They will learn to perform job-specific tasks in industrial or service-based businesses of different sizes. As such, they will be able to determine supply needs, explore sources of supply, plan acquisitions, monitor the national and international market, determine a procurement strategy, assess risks, determine the necessary guarantees, call for bids and opinions of interests, negotiate with suppliers, etc.

  • The Computerized Financial Management - LEA.AC program at CDI College covers the main functions found within a company and promotes the student's* acquisition of skills in various management activities. A significant part of the training is devoted to information technology and accounting, particularly payroll preparation.

    Program Objectives

    The Computerized Financial Management program has been designed so that graduates can pursue careers in management, accounting, and financial analysis. It offers graduates a wide range of employment opportunities within a great variety of companies.

    This program aims to:

    • train individuals capable of practicing the profession of computerized financial management technician;
    • allow the student to acquire skills in computerized financial management in the sectors of administration, accounting, computerized management, and finance;
    • develop the necessary skills to understand the meaning of financial statements, to search for and correct errors, and to automate accounting and financial operations using information technology.

Skilled Trades, Auto, Fire Programs

  • The Supply Management - LCA.FL program at CDI College aims to train qualified professionals who, upon completion of their training, will be able to perform all tasks related to the field of supply management. It offers graduates a wide range of employment opportunities within a variety of companies.

    At the end of this training program, graduates will have developed all the necessary skills to integrate into different sectors of the Quebec economy (primary, secondary, and tertiary) in small, medium, and large production or service companies, as well as in public organizations. These professionals will possess expertise in the field of supply management to be able to execute tasks specific to the function within industrial or service companies of various sizes.

    They will know how to: determine supply needs, explore supply sources, plan acquisitions, monitor national and international markets, determine supply strategies, assess risks, determine necessary guarantees, make calls for tenders and expressions of interest, negotiate with suppliers, etc.

Legal, Policing Programs

  • CDI College’s Paralegal Technology – JCA.1F trains students for employment as professional paralegals. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will have gained vast and valuable knowledge in areas such as civil, criminal and administrative law, and will be ready to begin a career helping lawyers and attorneys in their daily duties and tasks. Paralegal grads also acquire general office administration skills and knowledge that can be used in a variety of settings.

     
    The Paralegal Technology – JCA.1F program teaches students to communicate effectively through the use of legal terminology. Working in a law office requires analytical skills and a strong sense of professional ethics, all of which is covered in the program.     Conditions for admission to an Attestation of College Studies (ACS)

     

    A person who has received instruction considered sufficient by the college and meets any of the following conditions may be admitted to a program of studies leading to an Attestation of College Studies:

     

    • the person has interrupted his or her full-time studies or pursued full-time postsecondary studies for at least 2 consecutive terms or 1 school year;
    • the person is covered by an agreement entered into between the college and an employer or by a government program of studies;
    • the person has interrupted his or her full-time studies for one term and pursued full-time postsecondary studies for one term; or
    • the person holds a Secondary School Vocational Diploma.
     
    This program leads to an ACS (Attestation of College Studies) recognized by the Ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement Supérieur (MEES) (Permit 749747).

  • The Legal Techniques - JCA.1F program at CDI College aims to train qualified professionals* capable of occupying, at the entry level of the job market, the position of legal technician. Upon successful completion of the program, these professionals will possess expertise in the fields of civil law, criminal law, and administrative law, enabling them to perform the tasks of a legal technician specific to each environment. They will also have acquired the transversal skills required for the profession.

    They will notably be able to communicate clearly using legal terminology. They will have developed their capacity for analysis and synthesis, as well as a sense of professional ethics. They will demonstrate rigor and meticulousness in the execution of their tasks. Finally, they will be able to manage their time effectively, sometimes according to atypical schedules.

    Legal technicians who have completed this training will be able to work in various legal environments, both in private practice (in a law firm or notary's office) and in the public service as legal researchers and court clerks in ministries, municipalities, and courthouses. Some may prefer stenography and can pursue further training to become court stenographers.

CDI College's Specialist in Applied Information Technology -  LCE.3V Option: Legal Administrative Assistant program gives students a broad understanding of the Canadian legal system.

     
    This program covers the fundamental terminology, legal office procedures, record keeping and bookkeeping skills you need to thrive in a law office. Students also receive hands-on training in keyboarding, transcription skills, and word processing programs. This program will prepare students to work as a legal trainee or as an assistant in legal departments of family, financial, corporate, real estate and other law firms.

  • CDI College’s Special Care Counseling program aims to train professionals who will work with children, adults and elderly people afflicted with physical or intellectual disabilities, behavioral, mental or health-related disorders with the goal of supporting their adaptation, rehabilitation and social integration.
     
    Students will learn to collaborate with teachers and other professionals to intervene with patients afflicted with learning difficulties, difficulties of adaptation or behavioral disorders; participate in the development and implementation of intervention plans and identify ways to achieve objectives; develop, organize and lead various educational or cultural activities that focus on developing various skills such as social, cognitive, psychomotor, communication, self-esteem, affirmation, problem solving; use intervention techniques adapted to a crisis management context; collaborate, as needed, with social organizations, hospitals, the police, etc.

LONGUEUIL Campus

CDI College's Longueuil campus is located on the southern shore of the Saint Lawrence River, a municipality that is the second largest suburb within Greater Montreal. Despite a history that spans more than three centuries, modern Longueuil formed when several municipalities that merged in 2002.

While students definitely enjoy the close proximity to a world-class city, Longueuil offers much to see and do as well.
