  • Supply chain management deals with the logistics of the flow of goods and services from suppliers to consumers.

  • As an Accounting and Payroll Administrator, you will play a key role in any business. Get an Accounting and Payroll Administrator diploma at CDI College to equip you for the demands of the current job market.

    A Diploma in Accounting

    By completing the Accounting and Payroll Administrator program, you’ll gain computer and office administration skills and a practical foundation in accounting, computerized accounting systems, and payroll.   • The Dental Office Administration – Radiography Specialization diploma program at CDI College is designed to provide you with the hands-on training to excel as a radiography specialist in a dental practice.

  • CDI College's Medical Office Assistant diploma program is meant for students with an interest in science, medicine, and working with the public. Graduates of this program are employed in a variety of MOA jobs.

    The program covers fundamental office procedures and technology such as information processing, business procedures, keyboarding, and Microsoft Word and Excel programs. It also teaches medical office-specific skills like human anatomy, medical terminology, and medical transcription. Students are able to put these skills into practice through a mandatory practicum in a real-world medical office.

  • The financial management industry is fast-paced and competitive. You need a strong education in practical accounting and management in order to succeed. CDI College`s Financial Management - LEA.AC program provides hands-on training in the key areas of financial management such as computerized accounting systems, financial analysis and information systems management.

    You will develop an understanding of personal financial planning, taxation, marketing and business software. The program gives you a strong understanding of the legal and ethical implications of financial and wealth management, along with payroll and other key business concepts. You will also participate in two separate end of studies project or a practicum placement, which will give you the opportunity to put your classroom education to work in a real world workplace.

    Conditions for admission to an Attestation of College Studies (ACS)

    A person who has received instruction considered sufficient by the college and meets any of the following conditions may be admitted to a program of studies leading to an Attestation of College Studies:

    • the person has interrupted his or her full-time studies or pursued full-time postsecondary studies for at least 2 consecutive terms or 1 school year;
    • the person is covered by an agreement entered into between the college and an employer or by a government program of studies;
    • the person has interrupted his or her full-time studies for one term and pursued full-time postsecondary studies for one term; or
    • the person holds a Secondary School Vocational Diploma.
    Graduation
    To graduate, students must obtain the required pass mark in each course.
     
    This program leads to an ACS (Attestation of College Studies) recognized by the Ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement Supérieur (MEES) (Permit 749747).
     
    This program is offered in English or French.
     

    Graduates of this program can apply to the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification from the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA)*. PCP certification is the foundation for a career in payroll. Gain an in-depth understanding of the legislative requirements to keep your organization compliant throughout the annual payroll cycle. When you get certified, you join a growing community of supportive professionals and gain access to the resources you need to stay current and compliant.

    PCP certification requires four core courses and one year of related work experience. The requirements are as follows:

    1. Payroll Compliance Legislation
    2. Payroll Fundamentals 1
    3. Payroll Fundamentals 2
    4. Introduction to Accounting (offered at post-secondary institutions)
    5. Application for recognition of professional experience (DREP) with a minimum of one year of work experience in the field of payroll.

    A minimum pass grade of 65% is required for each course (including Introduction to Accounting). A combination of payroll education and payroll work experience ensures PCP certification is highly valued by employers.

    *CPA is the only association offering payroll accreditation programs in Canada.

  • CDI College’s Supply Chain Management – LCA.FL program aims to train qualified professionals who, upon completion of the program, will be able to perform all tasks related to the supply chain. It offers graduates a wide range of employment opportunities in a variety of businesses.

     

    Students will develop the skills they need to integrate the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors of Quebec’s economy in the small, medium and large production or service companies and in government agencies. They will learn to perform job-specific tasks in industrial or service-based businesses of different sizes. As such, they will be able to determine supply needs, explore sources of supply, plan acquisitions, monitor the national and international market, determine a procurement strategy, assess risks, determine the necessary guarantees, call for bids and opinions of interests, negotiate with suppliers, etc.

    Upon completion of their training, the student* will know how to develop and animate a community according to an organization's marketing strategies.   • In the Computer-Aided Design and Drafting Specialist diploma program, you’ll learn computer-aided design (CAD) application for architecture, engineering, construction, civil infrastructure, and product design. You will also focus on the fundamentals of drawing and drafting while building knowledge in the technical areas of mathematics, computing, and communication.

    In addition, you'll use the software applications to create a variety of designs and drawings that can be utilized in the real world. These will be used to assemble a portfolio of original creations derived from paper sketches and drawings.   • CDI College's Dental Assisting diploma program prepares students to compete for great jobs in the dental industry. The program covers all elements of dental care, pharmacology, oral pathology, and dental radiography. Students learn how to prepare patients for treatment, assist dentists during treatment, process radiographs, perform infection control procedures, maintain patient records, and handle other general administrative duties. Students study environmental health and safety and oral facial science, along with other core dentistry subjects.

    CDI College's Dental Assisting program is the only private Dental Assisting program in BC that is accredited by the Commission of Dental Accreditation of Canada (CDAC). The program provides both comprehensive and intensive education and training leading to a career as a Certified Dental Assistant. Students are exposed to activities that utilize the advances in the practice of dentistry.   • Health Care Aides provide personal assistance and support services for people who require short and long-term care.     Personal Support Workers

     

    Personal Support Workers are a vital part of the healthcare system in Canada. In this program, you will learn how to improve the quality of life of your patients, including assisting with their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

    You will also learn how to assist clients with personal hygiene, their mobility needs, getting proper nutrition, creating a care plan, helping with medications and cognitive issues, as well as identifying and reporting elder abuse. You'll also receive your Standard First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate before going out on your practicum.

     

    Hands-on Healthcare Training

     

    The Personal Support Worker program gives you focused, relevant training to help you excel in various care environments. If you need flexibility, part-time and evening study may be available at our Mississauga, North York, and Scarborough campuses.

    The final stage of the program are two practicum placements, totaling 310 hours over eight weeks, with one at a community organization, and the second at a care facility. These work placements ensure you’ll be job-ready and prepared to move into your new career as a personal support worker.

  • Working in a medical lab gives you access to see life as its most basic levels - on a daily basis, you could be handling blood tests, working with tissue samples, and examining diseases under a microscope. The Medical Laboratory Assistant/Technician program is geared towards helping you prepare for the challenges of a career in a medical laboratory.

     

    The program combines theoretical and practical elements of lab work in a well-equipped classroom/laboratory setting. You will gain an understanding of key scientific principles, including the fundamentals of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology, clinical chemistry, laboratory microbiology, hematology and immunohematology, the cardiovascular system, including an ECG and vital signs, urinalysis and body fluids, specimen procurement, clinical pathology, cytology, and hystology.

     

    Additionally, you will undertake a 4-week practicum, where you'll get to test your new skills working in a real laboratory.

     

    The Medical Laboratory Professionals’ Association of Ontario (MLPAO) has established standards for the training of Medical Laboratory Assistant/Technologists. Graduates of educational programs approved by MLPAO are eligible to write the MLPAO Examination. Interested students may also apply to take the CSMLS National Certification Exam, which is usually held in February, June, and October.

    Prerequisites

    To be admitted to this curriculum, students must meet one of the following conditions:

    • Secondary V diploma or its recognized equivalent OR
    • Be at least 16 years old on the 30th of September of the school year and pass the third secondary units in first and second language, as well as in mathematics according to the programs established by the Minister OR
    • Be at least 18 years old when entering the program and have the functional prerequisite which is the success of the general development test and the specific prerequisite (Language of instruction 21-02 (2033-1) or 132-308), or the equivalent recognized learning OR
    • Obtain third secondary units in first and second language, as well as in mathematics in programs established by the Minister and continue general education simultaneously in order to obtain fourth secondary units in first and second language, as well as in mathematics according to the curriculum established by the Minister.
    • Pass CDI College's admission test.

    Graduation

    Students will learn to collaborate with teachers and other professionals to intervene with patients afflicted with learning difficulties, difficulties of adaptation or behavioral disorders; participate in the development and implementation of intervention plans and identify ways to achieve objectives; develop, organize and lead various educational or cultural activities that focus on developing various skills such as social, cognitive, psychomotor, communication, self-esteem, affirmation, problem solving; use intervention techniques adapted to a crisis management context; collaborate, as needed, with social organizations, hospitals, the police, etc.

  • The Dental Assistance - 5144 (French) program at CDI College prepares the student* to work as a dental assistant in various private and public health care institutions in Quebec. It is an intensive training program that allows graduates to quickly enter the job market.
