Canadian College of Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine

Our focus is purely on Acupuncture and TCM

The Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (CCATCM) is the only educational institution in Atlantic Canada where you can learn to become an acupuncturist and open the door to a rewarding medical career. At CCATCM you can take either our Two-Year Intensive Acupuncture Diploma or Three-Year Acupuncture Diploma programs. This is your opportunity to join a growing profession. In the province of Nova Scotia alone there are over 3,000 massage therapists, but fewer than 200 acupuncturists.

Our core faculty has been in clinical practice and instructing in this field of medicine for more than 30 years. Several faculty members have Masters and PhD degrees in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine.

Our History

Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (CCATCM) began with the vision of its founders, a group of esteemed healthcare professionals who wanted to share their knowledge with Canadians and train the next generation of healers. Among their accomplishments is the Canadian College of Natural Medicine (CCNM), which merged with other schools to become the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH); CCANM, a college that provides continuing education to health-care professionals; and the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, a school that provides acupuncture education and training to the practitioners of tomorrow.

Today, the Canadian College of Acupuncture and TCM is one of the largest schools in Canada by both campus size and students. It provides education that integrates ancient knowledge and indigenous practises with hands on teaching and exceptional teachers. As one of the only schools that offers online resources and business training, CCATCM offers a curriculum that thoroughly prepares their student healers for the modern world.
