    Program Highlights

    Project Management is a function of business that is growing in relevance, recognition and scope. The Project Administration program is positioned as an entry-level opportunity to this profession and will allow our students a competitive advantage in this untapped market segment. Our program is designed to prepare students for the industry certification through the Project Management Institute (PMI), specifically the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation, in addition to software, business and employability skills necessary to be successful as members of a project management team. The certification coupled with other skills acquired from the diploma will give students opportunities for career growth and advancement. This program provides students with:
      • The knowledge and skills necessary to lead and/or assist in the coordination and/or administration of projects for a variety of business sectors.

The program will provide the skills to progress into manager-level careers, given the proper combination of skills, experience, personal attributes, and additional training. This program provides students with:

    The Medical Office Administration diploma provides students with the basic knowledge, skills, and work experience needed to become permanently employable in various medical settings. Skill development is delivered in three areas:

    • Comprehensive medical administrative knowledge, including medical language, transcription, and medical office procedures.
    • Full range of computer and office skills, including current software applications, keyboarding skills of 40 WPM, general office management, and accounting.
    • Customer service and personal and professional development.

    Career Opportunities

    Medical Office Administrators work in doctors’ offices, hospitals, medical clinics, pharmaceutical companies, government health agencies, and a variety of other medical office settings. They are integral members of the healthcare delivery team and perform many administrative and some basic clinical procedures. Typical job titles include Medical Office Assistant, Medical Secretary, Medical Stenographer, and Secretary Ward.

Creative Arts, Interactive, Sound Programs

    Program Objective

    This program provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge to build a web design foundation, learn industry-standard software programs, and produce a well-rounded and exciting portfolio. Students learn how to plan and design compelling and interactive websites and learn to use industry-related programs, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Animate, for website designs.

    Students will also explore HTML and CSS for web publishing alongside essential topics, such as accessibility standards, color, typography, and composition, as well as dig into PHP and WordPress development. Web Design graduates develop a professional design process for building a website from concept to launch.

    Recent studies indicate that strong growth in web design jobs, particularly in the consulting sector, is expected over the next few years. Career opportunities that will allow students to communicate and captivate with the skills learned in this program include:

Technology, Networking Programs

    Program Highlights

    This program prepares students to deal with the problems they may encounter when supporting personal computers in an office environment. The program provides in-depth knowledge of both computer hardware and software and prepares students to take the CompTIA A+, Network+, and Server+ certification examinations. Students will gain practical, hands-on experience in troubleshooting computer problems and assembling a computer. Successful students may choose to progress to advanced qualifications, such as MCSA.

    Skilled PC Support Specialists are in high demand in today’s skilled environment. Virtually all organizations with multiple computers require the skills of PC Support Specialists who can become invaluable members of a management team.

  • Program Overview

    In the Software and Web Developer diploma program, students learn the coding languages that every web developer needs to know: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Students then broaden their skill set with a strong foundation in SQL, C#, and the .NET Framework that will lead to additional opportunities in the world of software development.

    Throughout the program, students gain hands-on experience with a range of software development projects that build in complexity as students add programming skills and languages to their toolkit.

     

    Graduates of the program will be able to:

    • Design the appearance and layout of websites
    • Develop cross-browser and cross-platform websites
    • Create and optimize content for websites using graphics, databases, animations, and other software
    • Translate wire frames and storyboards into functional, responsive websites
    • Work with MySQL databases and SQL scripting
    • Use the .NET Framework to create robust web applications

    Career Opportunities

    Graduates of the program may pursue a variety of positions in software development, including web developer, UI/UX developer, front end web developer, software developer, HTML / CSS developer, and Javascript / jQuery developer.

    Program Notes

    Tuition fees include all course materials. Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify.

    Graduation requirements: Students must maintain a 75% program average to obtain a diploma.

Students will have practical, hands-on experience in troubleshooting computer problems and assembling a computer. This program prepares students to take the CompTIA A+, Network+, and Server+ certification exams.

    Career Opportunities

    Graduates of this program will find opportunities working as bench technicians for small- to medium-sized PC or electronics companies, as well as large PC-related manufacturing operations. They may also find positions in computer sales and service. After some experience, they may wish to open their own computer repair service.
