  • Admission Requirements

    Program Highlights

    This program prepares students to deal with the problems they may encounter when supporting personal computers in an office environment. The program provides in-depth knowledge of both computer hardware and software and prepares students to take the CompTIA A+, Network+, and Server+ certification examinations. Students will gain practical, hands-on experience in troubleshooting computer problems and assembling a computer. Successful students may choose to progress to advanced qualifications, such as MCSA.

    Career Opportunities

    Skilled PC Support Specialists are in high demand in today’s skilled environment. Virtually all organizations with multiple computers require the skills of PC Support Specialists who can become invaluable members of a management team.

  • Program Overview

    In the Software and Web Developer diploma program, students learn the coding languages that every web developer needs to know: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Students then broaden their skill set with a strong foundation in SQL, C#, and the .NET Framework that will lead to additional opportunities in the world of software development.

    Throughout the program, students gain hands-on experience with a range of software development projects that build in complexity as students add programming skills and languages to their toolkit.

     

    Graduates of the program will be able to:

    • Design the appearance and layout of websites
    • Develop cross-browser and cross-platform websites
    • Create and optimize content for websites using graphics, databases, animations, and other software
    • Translate wire frames and storyboards into functional, responsive websites
    • Work with MySQL databases and SQL scripting

    Career Opportunities

    Graduates of the program may pursue a variety of positions in software development, including web developer, UI/UX developer, front end web developer, software developer, HTML / CSS developer, and Javascript / jQuery developer.

    Project Management is a function of business that is growing in relevance, recognition and scope. The Project Administration program is positioned as an entry-level opportunity to this profession and will allow our students a competitive advantage in this untapped market segment. Our program is designed to prepare students for the industry certification through the Project Management Institute (PMI), specifically the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation, in addition to software, business and employability skills necessary to be successful as members of a project management team. The certification coupled with other skills acquired from the diploma will give students opportunities for career growth and advancement. This program provides students with:
      • The knowledge and skills necessary to lead and/or assist in the coordination and/or administration of projects for a variety of business sectors.

Throughout the North American healthcare industry, there is an acute need to increase the size of the workforce and raise the skill level of that workforce. This program is designed to provide employment-ready and comprehensively trained graduates. Successful graduates will earn the Certified Medical Assisting Professional (CMAP) designation in addition to their diploma. These graduates are fully qualified to work in a hands-on administrative and clinical support capacity in the medical industry.

    This program provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge to build a graphics & web design foundation, learn industry-standard software programs, and produce a well-rounded and exciting portfolio. Students learn how to plan and design compelling and interactive websites and learn to use industry-related programs, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Flash for website design. Students will also explore HTML and CSS for web publishing, alongside essential topics such as accessibility standards, color, typography, and composition, as well as dig into PHP and WordPress development. Graphics & Web Design program graduates develop a professional design process for building a website from concept to launch.

    Pitman English is designed specifically for those who wish to improve their English language fluency by developing their reading, writing, listening, and speaking abilities. This course has been designed to accommodate learners’ unique needs by using technology to adapt the course to the specific English proficiency, interests, and goals of each student, and by using videos and games to keep learners engaged.
