    The Medical Office Administration diploma provides students with the basic knowledge, skills, and work experience needed to become permanently employable in various medical settings. Skill development is delivered in three areas:

    • Full range of computer and office skills, including current software applications, keyboarding skills of 40 WPM, general office management, and accounting.

This prepares the student to apply to the CPA for both Payroll Administrator and Payroll Supervisor certification.   • Admission Requirements

    A British Columbia Secondary School Diploma or equivalent with prior education in English at grade 10 level or higher. OR Mature students who pass an entrance evaluation demonstrating sufficient ability (i.e., English comprehension and math skills) to undertake the program. All applicants must demonstrate English proficiency through one of the above requirements or through an English language assessment (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent).

    Co-op Work Experience

    In addition to the coursework, students are required to successfully complete 520 hours of co-op work experience to obtain a diploma. Co-op placements may be located throughout British Columbia.

  • Overview

    This program is designed to prepare students to write the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Windows Server 2012 certification exams. The MCSA Windows Server 2012 certification demonstrates knowledge and skills in working with Windows Server 2012. The certification validates ability to handle day-to-day management of the server operating system, file structure, and directory services; handle software distribution and updates; monitor servers; provide tier-2 troubleshooting support; support engineering and change-management projects; build and configure servers; implement auditing policy; perform scheduled vulnerability-assessment scans; and monitor logs for firewalls and intrusion-detection systems. The MCSA certification builds on a combination of prerequisites exams that will allow students to develop their technical skills and knowledge and prepare them for the role as a Server Administrator.

    Requirements for MCSA Windows Server 2012 Certification

    MCSA Windows Server 2012 candidates are required to pass three exams: 70-410, 70-411, and 70-412 exams.

    Program Notes

    Students must pass all courses and achieve a 75% program average to earn a certificate. All current Microsoft certification exams are computer-based tests administered through independent testing agency Prometric.

    A British Columbia Secondary School Diploma or equivalent with prior education in English at grade 10 level or higher. Veterinary, Animal Services Programs

  • Admission Requirements

    • Clear Criminal Record Check
    • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent, or 19 years of age or older with completion of the required testing

    Program Highlights

    The Veterinary Office Assistant performs many of the same or similar duties as a regular Medical Office Assistant. While the patients look and act a bit different, they basically have the same body systems and require similar treatment for injuries and illnesses. Consequently by adding the Veterinary Office Assistant specialty modules to the core Medical Office Assistant program, graduates have the choice of working in a Veterinary setting or working in a medical clinic thus creating wider employment opportunities. Some of their tasks and duties are communicating with animal owners and having knowledge of the terminology of the animal industry. This includes:
