• Business Administrative Professional

  Owing to increasingly powerful desktop computers and office software, businesses are relying on a few key people to perform the multitude of administrative duties that previously required many clerical staff. These key administrators are highly organized and well trained in leading edge office automation technology.

  The aim of the Business Administrative Professional diploma program is to provide you with a combination of office administration skills and technology. This combination includes general office administration, management and the operational skills needed to take charge as a cutting edge Business Administrative Professional.

• Medical Office Administration

  CDI College's Medical Office Administration diploma program is meant for students with an interest in science, medicine, and working with the public. Graduates of this program are employed in a variety of work environments including hospitals, private medical practices, and clinics.

  The program covers fundamental office procedures and technology such as information processing, business procedures, keyboarding, and Microsoft Word and Excel programs. It also teaches medical office-specific skills like human anatomy, medical terminology, and medical machine transcription. Students are able to put these skills into practice through a mandatory practicum in a real-world medical office.

  Accounting and payroll administrators are valuable members of many businesses. CDI College's Accounting and Payroll Administrator program prepares you to excel in this in-demand career.

  The program places an emphasis on providing a strong foundation of general accounting principles, along with the specific, industry-standard software you will use in the field.

  You will also explore courses in advanced accounting and business studies. You will get up-to-date training on the latest versions of today's accounting software and general office programs like Excel, MS Word and Outlook.

  You will also complete the requirements for the National Payroll Institute payroll certification programs, which provide a foundation of payroll techniques and principles.

• Business Accounting Technician

  In today’s job market, you need practical and marketable skills. The Business Accounting Technician program offers a combination of general office administration skills, accounting skills, and technology with which to help prepare you for opportunities in administrative or financial positions. A very strong aptitude for math is required for this course.

• Web And Mobile Applications Development

  In CDI College's Web and Mobile Applications Development diploma program, you will gain a solid understanding of application development for computer, web and mobile environments. You will learn language-independent programming concepts and techniques, including program flow, programming constructs of sequence, iteration, selection and decision-making in both traditional programming and object-oriented methodologies. The program then explores several current programming languages and technologies, including but not limited to C#, Java, ASP.net, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP/MySQL, Python, Android and Swift, allowing you to master the language-specific syntax and coding requirements to translate logical program design into fully functional computer, web or mobile applications. The program includes a six-week, 180-hour practicum placement in a real application development workplace. Upon completing this program, you will be able to develop fully functional computer, Web and mobile applications using a variety of development platforms and techniques.

• Addictions And Community Services Worker

  The Addictions and Community Services Worker program is a diploma program comprised of on-campus lectures and labs, field trips, industry-related projects, and a work experience component that provides the student with the theory, hands-on experience, and applied learning opportunities.

  The program prepares the graduate for entry-level positions in community social services with particular attention to the specific needs of people affected with addiction.

  The program includes courses in the fundamentals related to addictions and community services, building relationships, life management, and finally, professional and workplace skills.

  Admission Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent*, or mature student** status.
  • Pass college’s admissions test.
  • Criminal record check (in accordance with the Criminal Records Review Act).
  • Immunization report (form provided by the College).
  • Complete ‘Student Declaration – Social Services Worker Programs’ form (provided by the College).

  *From an English-language teaching institution.
  **19 years of age upon starting classes, and Pass the college's English admissions test.

• Paralegal
