System Administration

Program Overview

The duties of a system administrator are wide-ranging and vary widely from one organization to another. System Administrators are usually charged with installing, supporting and maintaining servers or other computer systems, and planning for and responding to service outages and other problems. Other duties may include scripting or light programming, project management for systems-related projects, supervising or training computer operators, and being the consultant for computer problems beyond the knowledge of technical support staff. With our affiliation with Microsoft as a Microsoft Action Partner (MAP) and industry trained instructors with decades of industry experience, our 39-week diploma is based on Microsoft’s certification* pathway. Students gain an understanding of Network Administration, Installing, configuring and managing Windows Server, Building Scalable CISCO Internetworks, configuring Windows Server Active Directory, thus paving a strong foundation to pace their career as a Systems Administrator. *Additional costs apply to outside agencies to write certification exams
