Web & Development Fundamentals

About the Program

The Web and Development Fundamentals diploma at Eastern College is a 45-week entry-level program—including an 8-week internship—that builds the essential knowledge, technical confidence, and practical awareness of how websites are created and maintained. Through live, instructor-led online classes, you'll learn to develop interactive web content using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

The curriculum takes you from visual design through front-end code to modern developer workflows: you'll design graphics with bitmap and vector tools, build and style real websites, host them on Linux servers with WordPress, and collaborate using Git and GitHub Copilot AI. Object-oriented programming in Swift and Java rounds out your foundation, preparing you for entry-level roles across the web industry.

Classes are held at scheduled times through the Microsoft Teams platform, so you can ask questions, join discussions, and get instructor support in real time—without commuting to campus. Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify, monthly payment plans are offered, and Eastern's dedicated Financial Aid Officers will help you explore your funding options.

Design and Development Certifications

Graduates are eligible to write the Adobe Photoshop Certified Professional, Adobe Illustrator Certified Professional, and Oracle Java Associate exams, with certification exam vouchers included in your tuition.
