Helping Canadians get back to work.

System Administrator

About the Program

The System Administrator diploma at Eastern College is a 45-week program that bridges the gap between general IT support and higher-responsibility infrastructure roles, finishing with an 8-week internship where you'll apply your skills in a real workplace. Delivered through live, instructor-led online classes, the program lets you train from anywhere in the province while building a strong foundation in core IT support, systems administration, and networking.

You'll develop practical, job-ready skills in supporting end users, administering Windows client and server environments, managing Linux systems, and maintaining network infrastructure. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, professional communication, and the ITIL-based IT service management practices used in enterprise environments—so you graduate ready to work as part of a technical team from day one.

Classes are held at scheduled times through the Microsoft Teams platform, so you can ask questions, join discussions, and get instructor support in real time—without commuting to campus. Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify, monthly payment plans are offered, and Eastern's dedicated Financial Aid Officers will help you explore your funding options.
