Tractor Trailer Driver For Foreign Nationals

The trucking industry in Canada is facing a critical shortage of qualified, well-trained, experienced truck drivers. In New Brunswick, trucking companies say they’re struggling to fill jobs that pay an average of $55,000.00 per year. In response to these industry needs, McKenzie College is excited to introduce this NEW program for International students with trucking experience in their home country.

The Tractor Trailer Driver for Foreign Nationals Program provides international students with the communication skills in English to be fully prepared to enter a professional career in this industry. It provides applicants with comprehensive training to be a Truck Driver adhering to all required federal and provincial motor vehicle safety and licensing standards as well as industry regulation and association expectations.

In addition, they will complete a practicum placement with a large trucking company in the region. Upon successful completion, students will receive a Certificate from McKenzie College which is a Designated Learning Institution, approved by the federal government of Canada, Immigration, refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the New Brunswick Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour (PETL).
