Adult Health Assessment Workshop For Nurses

Course Description:

This health course will teach you how to obtain accurate health history and conduct physical examinations on healthy adults, and features a hands-on laboratory component that will allow you to put these new practical nursing skills to the test.

Prerequisites:

RN/RPN and IEN (International Educated Nurses)

Learning Outcomes: At the end of the course, the students will be able to:
  • Assess the client looking for life-threatening concerns.
  • Assess the client using a systematic approach.
  • Assess the client using inspection, palpation, and auscultation as appropriate.
  • Enhance your knowledge as a licensed practical nurse and learn theory and procedures based on best evidence for
  • Obtaining a health history and conducting a physical examination on a healthy adult.
  • A laboratory component is included in which students apply new theory and practise nursing skills related to obtaining
  • A health history and demonstrating physical assessment skills.
