About the Program

CDI College's Intra-Oral Dental Assistant diploma trains you in everything a modern dental office needs — patient prep, chairside assisting, radiography, and infection control — through comprehensive, cohort-based training with two hands-on practicum placements.

What You'll Learn

  • Oral facial sciences, dental materials, and oral pathology
  • Dental radiography, including digital and film techniques
  • Chairside assisting, preventive dentistry, and pharmacology
  • Two supervised practicum placements totaling 140 hours in private dental practices

Career Opportunities

Roles: You'll graduate ready for roles in dental offices, dental laboratories, orthodontic and oral surgery practices, and public health clinics.

Why it matters: This program is your primary path to National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB) certification and registration as a Registered Dental Assistant in Manitoba.

The institution is registered under Manitoba's Private Vocational Institutions Act.
