Computer Support Technician

The Computer Support Technician program in Alberta is designed for students wishing to pursue a career in the information technology industry. The program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to service computer systems and to support the users of these systems.

 
The Computer Support Technician program covers a number of topics including hardware installation and  configuration, basic networking, Windows operating systems, MS Office support, and help desk techniques.
 
Students will study the theory of computer systems hardware and software components and the develop practical skills through hands-on training. In addition, students will learn how help desk and troubleshooting operations are run within an organization.
