Accounting and Payroll Administration

This program is also available in our hybrid Flex-Ed format

Media has evolved in recent years, and there are more ways than ever to deliver news and content to a wide range of audiences. Traditional radio and television broadcasting stations leverage the power of social media in their broadcasts and online, and there’s never been a better time to start your own podcast or YouTube channel and begin creating and distributing content.

A career in broadcasting and media communications provides many different career opportunities, including on-air hosting, announcing, production, promotions, editing, reporting, writing and other online content production. Individuals may also start a freelance audio, video or writing business, or their own podcast.

This program provides an overview of media skills, practices and operations with a focus on either audio or video specialization. Areas of study include journalism, reporting and current affairs, communications and public relations, creative writing, writing for online media and copywriting, broadcast sales and marketing, announcing and podcasting, and audio and video production
